14/05/2024: We came here for a dinner without a reservation and got a place easily. We had two aperol spritz, the fish and chips, and the andouillette. The drinks were nicely made, as well as the fish and chips which was perfectly crispy. My boyfriend had the andouillette (for the first time) and he was also "warned" by the waitress that it is something not everyone likes. However he said that it was actually nice, so if you want to try it, this is a good place for it!
The place is situated just near the castle and it has a nice terrace to enjoy the weather :) The staff was also very friendly. Overall, if you are in Amboise, would really recommend checking out this place!

16/05/2024: I’m not a crepe expert by any means, but very much enjoyed my meal here. The service was lightning fast and my crepe was delicious -slightly crispy on the outside (not sure if it’s supposed to be like that, but it worked for me!), plenty of filling, and price was in line with other restaurants in the area.
14/05/2024: Was delicious we ended up going here twice the service was great and the foot was delicious! I had the vegetalienne galette which was absolutely delicious and very fresh with some vegetables and we had the crepes with banana and chocolate and sugar crepe. All of them were deliciously and the service was great

05/04/2024: Friendly team and good meal a few steps from the Château d'Amboise. Don't hesitate to stop for a little snack or a bigger one. The Italian fondue is excellent, as is the punch and the chocolate heart. Happy future tasting

09/05/2024: Pizza whose dough was not cooked! I asked for her to return to the kitchen....but the cooking wasn't any better! My companion had a poorly cooked calzone also without egg!...on the other hand the waitresses were pleasant, too bad we had very good memories of this pizzeria....
09/05/2024: Top notch service. Hearty and very good bruschetta. The truffle pasta is delicious. Be careful, very busy, it is better to book to be sure.

06/05/2024: Catches tourists. Very small portions. For example, the onion soup did not reach 1 cm high in the pot. Trap. In the attached photo you can see what I'm saying.
01/05/2024: Right next to the royal Château Amboise, make a stopover at La Terasse to enjoy a warm place and good cuisine. The service was perfect and the dishes were delicious. We will come back to it!

01/05/2024: We had a great time. We appreciated the professionalism of the young waiter who took our aperitif order in the lounge/bar. The team is very pleasant and attentive.
24/02/2024: We had lunch one weekday at a table with a view of the Loire.
A quality welcome with a smile. A pleasant, efficient and fast service. A chic atmosphere but without pressure. The restaurant rooms are richly decorated and you can ask to know the history which is interesting.
And finally for the cuisine, we had the choice between dishes from the menu or inspirations from the new chef. He was the second to the previous chef, his cuisine is mastered and diversified. Everything is tasty, delicate and well presented.
On leaving, the reception opened the Caesar cellars to us, to also see.

24/03/2024: A big thank you for this great time spent at the La Providence restaurant with our group of 67 hikers. Friendly welcome, appetizing, copious and excellent cuisine, warm atmosphere. We will come back with pleasure.
12/03/2024: Good welcome with a top owner, excellent and entirely homemade dish, price much cheaper than the competition due to the distance from the city center without being difficult to access, quality at the rendezvous, the restaurant itself is very pretty and puts you in a good atmosphere I recommend!

18/05/2024: We came into this restaurant quite by chance and it was a great discovery. In fact, going up the street alongside the castle, it was one of the only restaurants where there weren't fries on every plate!!!! The map is very nice. We had the full lunch menu and had a great time. For my part, the Thai salad, the lemonade and the strawberry cabbage were very very good, my little extra compared to the menu, the cheese platter...
The indoor team is young and dynamic.

17/05/2024: Friendly and warm welcome while remaining very professional. A diverse menu, fish, lobster or meat. A platter of local goat cheese. Succulent desserts. One formula at €30 and the other at €40 without drinks. We have a pleasant evening.
