14/05/2024: The hotel is well located, a little away from the town, it is quiet and offers parking, which is a plus. The establishment is old and could do with some updating, the rooms are ok but nothing more, certainly, it's a ***, but considering the price, 178 euros per night, we can expect better. The bathroom is what you find in hotels from the 70s. I don't have the same opinion of the restaurant, nice menu on offer, the dishes are very well presented and taste good, from appetizers to dessert, it's perfect. The wine list is limited, only local, but the sommelier is very pleasant and gives good advice, don't hesitate to trust him. The service staff provide quality service but the people are rather cold in their dealings and lack roundness in their comments. It's a very good address for the table, for the hotel part, we are rather disappointed.

01/04/2024: Very good experience for my sister's birthday. We were a table of 7 people. The cuisine was delicious, seasonal, good cooking. Whether it was the kidneys, the asparagus, the sea bream or even the desserts, everything was successful. The service was excellent, the team was cheerful and welcoming. THANKS !

30/03/2024: Worth a dedicated trip to Amboise Our AirBnB host recommended this place even it was not on the list of restaurant choices we researched. The surprise started with a leek soup and we wiped clean all dishes! We ordered a three course Menu Saveurs (“Flavors Menu” or perhaps special menu) for 42 euros, paired with a 2022 chenin Pierre (sauvignon blanc?) from a local vineyard Touraine Amboise (33 euro). The starter was a smoked trout tartar, main course is stuffed chicken (Medallion of poultry), and 4 cheese plate. Vegetables were very fresh, cooking was perfect, and excellent presentations. The wine topped it out - I gather we would spent 4 times in the US for the same quality. Our server was just great. The setting is on the formal side with spacious layout compared with other restaurants we visited in Loire Valley, and the location is not in the touristy drab (Pl. Michel Debré), and thus is a welcome change to typical busy venues with tourist hordes.

29/05/2024: We were lucky to get a table without a reservation. The food was of very good quality and very nicely presented. The service was super friendly, the wine list is sufficient. Overall, the price-performance ratio is right. Although the restaurant is on the tourist strip, it is worth recommending.

26/05/2024: A unique setting facing the castle and the chapel, comfortable tables, modern decoration mixed with historic rustic, pleasant and responsive service and succulent dishes. great experience every time. well done to the whole team

02/04/2024: We had an excellent weekend, a quiet and relaxing place facing the Loire where we can walk, there is only the road to cross. Welcoming and attentive staff, clean and spacious room. I highly recommend this establishment.

11/05/2024: Place with a nice little terrace. The boards offered are really qualitative with very good products. Mojito not great on the other hand, very bland in terms of mint and lemon and lacks a little cane sugar, to be reworked 😉

14/05/2024: We came here for a dinner without a reservation and got a place easily. We had two aperol spritz, the fish and chips, and the andouillette. The drinks were nicely made, as well as the fish and chips which was perfectly crispy. My boyfriend had the andouillette (for the first time) and he was also "warned" by the waitress that it is something not everyone likes. However he said that it was actually nice, so if you want to try it, this is a good place for it! The place is situated just near the castle and it has a nice terrace to enjoy the weather :) The staff was also very friendly. Overall, if you are in Amboise, would really recommend checking out this place!
