30/03/2024: Magnificent and atypical hotel. Room (418) equally amazing and very clean. Diligent and deferential staff with special mention for the breakfast lady. Excellent breakfast. A very nice address, very well located with public parking nearby.

04/04/2024: Still so good. The menu is also evolving well and the good products are enhanced by good spices and perfect cooking.

30/03/2024: A superb discovery following a win 😊 Caring staff, very smiling and a warm atmosphere 😊 Aperitif: Homemade Mojito and Gin Cocktail/pear juice and chestnut cream. Starter: Sorcin snail in landscape fricassee and bacon siphon. Dishes: French scallops, Nantaise sauce, chives/lemon with creamy carrot puree and beef tartare prepared with farm goat's cheese and enoki (not taken in photo). Dessert: Like a lemon and yuzu tart. All a real delight, an incredible discovery 😍 We did not know this restaurant and we absolutely do not regret our visit, we will come back with great pleasure! 😁

12/03/2024: By far the best place in Poitiers to take a little break and relax. The pastries are excellent and the choice of tea is extensive, we are never disappointed! In addition, the manager and employees are adorable and know how to advise on the choice of teas. This place is unanimously praised every time I introduce it to friends who don't know Poitiers :)

02/04/2024: Honestly, a great discovery. A prime meat, 55 euros per kilo and a half, with your potatoes and salad. 12 euros for a top quality meat tartare. The children, menu with delicious carbonara pasta and their dessert. Super friendly waiters, they try Spanish. The restaurant is very curious, I really liked the decoration.

23/05/2024: Great bar, great beer, great service & hilarious food. Yep, never said that about food before. Partner had a fabulous cheese burger and I went for the spicy burger. Being France I didn’t expect it to be very spicy even with the bar staff heavily emphasising how hot it was. Then they made me sign a disclaimer- yes really. When it came out I was still thinking it would just be a few Jalapeños BUT they brought out rubber gloves to hold it (see picture) and offered a glass of milk. This was now sounding serious. And serious it was. No idea what the level of the sauce was but it was proper tindaloo, stag nights only after a skin full and then only for the idiots. Couldn’t eat it all but was such a laugh. Very cheap food here so not heart broken about it. Next time I’ll have the cheese burger. The red stuff is not ketchup it is hot sauce. Also If you like board games they have more choice than I’ve seen anywhere.

23/05/2024: Great to have a board game bar in Poitiers, good atmosphere and normal prices for bars in the center. Perfect for a change from evenings on the terrace, plus the staff is pleasant.

22/10/2023: Very pleasant surprise. The welcome was very pleasant, the interior renovation is neat and warm without being flashy. The choice of menu is not very varied but my parents and I were able to test a good range of what they offer and the quality is there. Each dish was copious without being excessive, the cooking was excellent, the mixture of flavors surprised us in each dish (for example: the port sauce with the brioche sausage or the lemon/spinach sauce with a side of pork or even the 4-spice cheesecake dessert is simply delicious) The price is reasonably high: around €35-40/per person for a full meal but it is well worth it. For my part, I consider this restaurant to be one of the best addresses in Poitiers at the moment

05/04/2024: From the front door to the exit of the restaurant, the experience was perfect. It is one of the best quality/price restaurants in Poitiers. At 17€ the full menu (Starter + Main course + Dessert) we can tell you that we will not leave disappointed! The preparation of the dishes remains simplistic but hearty, although the elaborate dessert still makes me salivate today! This compote tartlet is a taste marvel! The enthusiastic waitresses, the quality of the dishes and the setting make La Terrasse des Arènes a “must see” in the gastronomic landscape of Poitiers.
