Just perfect.
An adorable, efficient, no-fuss team with a very relaxing atmosphere.
Tasty, gourmet, fresh, local, perfect dishes.
Go there with your eyes closed. Vegetables, meats, fish... Everything was really delicious.
We feasted.
At all homemade.
Croquetas, Txistora, roasted, braised artichokes (a unanimous discovery).
Perfect piquillos, prime rib, hake...!!!!😉

25/05/2024: The good weather is (finally) here in the Basque country, Danito and I decide to reconnect with this restaurant that we know well.
The service (impeccable) is provided on a beautiful shaded terrace.
The dishes are typically Basque/Spanish and cooked to perfection.
Everything is tasty, the plates are well stocked with perfectly cooked quality dishes.
The welcome is warm, the atmosphere peaceful, you almost feel like family.
For us, a must.
And the walk from Saint Jean de Luz, via Ascain and Sare is so pleasant.

Without a doubt it is a place to repeat.

27/05/2024: It was a reunion after 18 years of absence. The team in place is always smiling and very attentive to customers. You choose the fresh fish you want to eat and they prepare it for you a la plancha. A delight. The only downside is that if there are two of you, you are not allowed at the tables at the edge of the terrace, but you only have the same view of the sea. The interior seats give a magnificent sea view. Be careful, there is no There is no parking. You must leave your car at the main car park and go there on foot.

24/05/2024: The cuisine and dishes offered are creative and high quality. Everything was very good and well executed. On the other hand, we were placed in an annex room of the restaurant located in the same street, a small noisy room with very Spartan comfort. The service was pretty decent even if we don't change the cutlery between courses and the dishes arrive from outside. In summary, the quality of the cuisine does not match the setting. Maybe the ambiance and comfort are different in the main room?
24/05/2024: I called to see if there was space because in France on weekends without reservations you miss the chance to eat in the best restaurants and they were outside (sidewalk). I went with my boyfriend and we loved it. Super friendly service (difficult in France) and the food was an experience of flavors, from starter to dessert. Menu price with starter, main and dessert €45 per person + drinks. Wine at a good price too. There's a table next to the kitchen that we want to try next time.
