03/04/2024: Great hotel for a stopover. Nice, spacious family room. The simple restaurant is on site in a converted barn. Nice atmosphere. Food was simple but fine. Unfortunately, the waiter gave us the impression that he didn't feel like it. Our French is not good, he couldn't speak English. Every question seemed too much for him. Shame.

02/04/2024: Nice hotel and rooms. Super friendly and welcoming staff. Not great location But above all the food at the restaurant is really disgusting. Hard beef steak (I almost broke a tooth) and ice cream and liquid whipped cream 🤨. Too bad, the team is nice but we see that they are cutting back on the costs and quality of food because of inflation ☹️ …In response to the message from “Management”: Madam, I wasn't planning to respond to you. However, I'm doing it now because the fact that you respond ironically to any review that doesn't give you five stars is disappointing to say the least. By definition, Google reviews are designed to provide feedback on the service received. Your duty is to accept this feedback and use it to improve yourself rather than getting on your high horse in a condescending manner. I would ask you to take a look at the few reviews I have been able to give in recent years and you will see a lot of five stars... so I am not one of those specialized "haters". I have also made many compliments on your staff or rooms. So why not accept that the standard of your restaurant was very low (that day at least). Hoping that you will accept ALL feedback in the future and use it to improve your establishment. Sincerely. Response to your answer: Apparently the notion of feedback is unknown to you and is coupled with a certain paranoia... I have no intention of harming you but would just like my feedback to be heard. 02/04/2024: Very nice Desi Restaurant in a small town. Food is absolutely delicious and fresh. Manager is also very nice person. Free parking. Recommend for all.

19/03/2024: Do the accounting carefully before paying, we paid €40 for an order instead of €36… In addition, condiments were missing and the vegetables were not fresh.

20/05/2024: Excellent restaurant with cuisine worthy of the price of the menus and quality. Small downside regarding the profiteroles which were not completely defrosted. However, the brunette waitress without glasses was as rude as possible throughout the service. In fact, she took the liberty of slapping her hand on her thigh followed by an “oh well okay!” when she saw us going out to smoke a cigarette between two courses. In addition, the latter screams in the restaurant as if we were at the fishmonger, taking orders from customers for example or even greeting them (not common for a fairly “chic” restaurant). The icing on the cake, when paying the bill, this same waitress took the liberty of telling her colleague in front of us, I quote: "They're going to divide it for sure", then 30 seconds later, she adds: " They're going to divide into 4 for sure, oh well! » in a very unpleasant tone, letting us understand that it bothered him to the highest degree to have to do it (I point out that today calculators exist and that reporting an amount divided into 4 on a TPE is not most tiring or difficult). I obviously made him understand that this remark was completely inappropriate and that if we wanted to divide, we would!

02/05/2024: Une cuisine fine, inventive et généreuse. Très beau dressage des assiettes, régal pour les yeux autant que pour les papilles. Bravo au chef ! Incontournable du coté de Sancerre.

21/04/2024: Très cher pour la situation, et pour ce type de restaurant, nourriture servie tiède, uniquement 2 plats au choix à la carte . Entrée correcte et classique pour la région (crottin gratiné) la viande était bonne mais servie sur un "petit rond de purée", quant aux linguines aux fruits de mer,... les 2 gambas, sûrement décongelées, n'avait pas de goût, une palourde sur 6 (petit format) était pleine de vase, aucun geste commercial ni excuse ! Pas de Vin de Sancerre, ... c'est pourtant la région ! pour un montant de 70€ à deux. Le patron semblait plus intéressé par les clients du bar.

25/11/2023: Very welcoming and warm restaurant. Restaurateurs always smiling, joking and friendly. Unlimited starters, homemade dishes and family recipes. Gourmet and varied desserts. Very affordable worker prices, especially for this type of service, quality/quantity/price ratio widely validated!

23/05/2024: We had a delicious time, the service and dishes are succulent, prepared with quality and seasonal products. Thanks to the chef and the whole team. An outing with family or friends in a magnificent setting, full of fullness.

07/05/2024: Very nice place, the cuisine is exquisite and the staff friendly. The quality/price ratio is there. This restaurant faces Noirlac Abbey and is close to a large car park.

22/05/2024: Ce sympathique restaurant propose une cuisine simple et de bonne qualité mise en valeur par un service efficace et bienveillant. Le cadre est agréable. La terrasse aux beaux jours étant un plus. La patrone est à l'écoute, ce qui n'est pas si commun. Le parking municipal à proximité est un plus quand on vient nombreux (ce qui était notre cas).

15/04/2024: It's still as good as it was 24 years ago. The owners have done work, but that does not take away the charm of Pousse Cailloux. If you are in the region of Sury-en-Vaux in Sancerre, go there, you will not be disappointed. I recommend it 100% They are the same bosses, now the children work with them

12/05/2024: Parfait, de bons plats, produits frais, accueil sympathique. Prix à la hauteur des plats. Éventuellement, juste éviter de ramener les entrées quand on est encore à l apéritif mais c est de plus en plus comme ça. Sinon génial merci.
