05/04/2024: The adventure began on a Friday evening, suddenly a great desire for “Bretonry” was felt. No time to waste ! I headed to my favorite creperie: La Banquette.
The atmosphere is calming, perfectly suited music is present, neither too loud nor too weak like in some other restaurants, here we can have good discussions around the table with family and friends.
The service is perfect, very polite, and always with a smile! Which is rare these days, and is very appreciable.
Once the order was made, I was able to enjoy a good bowl of cider like most in our good old capital, while waiting for my cake.
Barely time to take a sip when the charming waitress serves me a magnificent plate, a beautiful pancake accompanied by a green salad. The pancake is very hot, delicious, exactly what I expected for this umpteenth time in this creperie of which I am most loyal.
And the salad! I almost forgot... She has nothing to envy of her gossip, the sauce is excellent, which perfectly complements this beautiful plate.
Once this was finished, I was able to end my journey with a good crepe flambé, the flambé being done in front of your eyes, which adds a festive touch to the atmosphere of this evening.
I would come back there again and again.
I thank this creperie for existing, which proves that Vincennes has not yet revealed all its secrets.

28/03/2024: A little disappointed, the pancakes are not bad but a little crumbly, and putting mozzarella instead of Emmental is a bit sacrilegious.

11/05/2024: Excellent value for money for this restaurant which has just been taken over and which offers traditional cuisine but with finesse. The furniture has been changed and gives a better atmosphere than before. Nice to be able to eat on the terrace in a quiet street

09/05/2024: Staff clearly not thrilled with international customers - referred to me as "le rosbif" even though I'm not British? Rude AND inaccurate. Where's your l'esprit européen, guys?
A mild air of misplaced xenophobia notwithstanding, this is not a bad little spot for a relaxed lunch not far from La Petite Ceinture before you get to Vincennes.

09/05/2024: I had onion soup and french sausage. As a tourist I can't say is it traditionally cooked but the taste is good and it's exactly what I expected - very different then any food I ate in my life. Soup is hardly recommended but "sausage" isn't for anyone so don't order if you are not ready for something else.
About service, don't be rude and don't expect too much from those tired people. I don't care if the staff forget their smile at home, they are not rude if they don't entertain you.

Very salty mayo eggs, the outline of the yolk is gray, the egg came out of the fridge, what a shame!
Fries that are not fries at all, but rather fried!!
Tasteless sea bass fillet poison: frozen.
A steak as hard as sole and which looks nothing like a rib steak, nothing like the beauty on the site, inedible piece of beef: sent back.
Reception not pleasant and very limited.
Never again and we do not recommend.

Oeufs mayo très salés contour du jaune est gris, l'oeuf sort du frigo, quel dommage !
Les frites qui n'ont rien de frites, mais plutôt de la friture!!
Poisson filet de bar sans goût : du congelé.
Une entrecôte dur comme de la semelle et qui ne ressemble en rien à une entrecôte, rien à voir la belle sur le site, pièce de boeuf immangeable : renvoyé.
Accueil pas agréable et très limite.
Plus jamais et on ne recommande pas.

14/05/2024: I highly recommend this excellent restaurant, which at first glance does not look like much. But once inside you will be pleasantly surprised.
29/04/2024: It is always difficult to choose where to eat in a city. But this was a great dinner. As it should be, general decor, but the food is great!! Totally fun with children, because people look crazy if you come in with scooters. Good service, food fresh and delicious. Would recommend to everyone!

Pleasant service, decent food but expensive for what it is, especially the tartare which is very small, and served with slightly cold potatoes (reheated later).

The service is too long (several tables served before us even though they arrived well after)
The cuisine is nothing more, considering the price the quality is not there.
Spend 2 hours at lunch to eat a bland meal (and again I had to take dessert to go otherwise I was going to wait another 30 minutes).
Very disappointed
11/03/2024: Following the director's response I am obliged to modify my opinion.
I IMMEDIATELY alerted the waiter that the lamb was difficult to eat. No one came to me to find out what the problem was. The beautiful commercial fiber! Oh and I forgot, my neighbor couldn't eat her burger because the meat was also not good (and we're talking about a minced steak!)
When you talk about the bad time, are you talking about yourself?
Above all, don’t hesitate to question yourself and it will only be beneficial to you ;-)
Bad experience :
I was looking for a place to have a quick lunch and being close to this brasserie I tried.
We ordered a dish of the day: rack of lamb and a tartare.
I've never had such a hard lamb: impossible to cut, like rubber. I barely ate half, the rest being nerves that were impossible to cut with a knife. However, not wanting to cause any trouble, I ate it and just relayed the information to the waiter.
The director didn't even come to see me to find out what the problem was.
When the bill came, not even a free coffee.
So I was the manager myself to tell him that the rack of lamb was unworthy, and really of poor quality. She replied curtly “you ate it”. No questioning, no business sense, nothing. Who is the customer who is the restaurateur? I almost got yelled at.
So my advice when something doesn't suit you in this bistro: make a problem and send the dish away.
Pathetic.
And obviously I told her that I would report my experience that Google and she got angry.
Or just move on because it’s mediocre.
