We had a lovely dining experience. Our server was very kind, spoke English and was happy to help us. We had a lovely efficient dinner with a bottle of wine. The onion soup was a large portion and creamy. We all had omelets with frites. It was a good filling meal. They also have a nice selection of local beer, including an IPA.

Very nice place but the only thing I ate was a pancake because I was there with my CE....so I can't judge the cuisine...

In terms of catering, nothing to complain about, the eggs and mayonnaise (a real bistro dish) are excellent and so is the burger. On the other hand, a bit of a mess in terms of service because we had the starters after the dishes or for some alongside the dishes (there were around ten of us), it's strange because one of the guests, a regular at the place, told us that that never happened to him. Let's put it down to bad luck and the busy customer side. In any case, it's a good brasserie at Porte de Vincennes because the most important thing is what's on the plate and the quality/price ratio.

19/11/23 Sunday afternoon Breakfast! We two middle aged guys from London were in Paris for a funeral and staying at a friend's place in Saint Mandé. One late morning we left his apartment to find a late breakfast lunch. We went to his favourite local place but the breakfast Formule had finished. All we wanted was something similar so we headed to the metro station and found this place he knew of but at a higher price. We were going to eat very well at a friend's for dinner and then leave back to London late at night. We only wanted a snack. We arrived at 14:04 and took a table in the middle of the room. It was busy with locals eating proper lunches. I grabbed a menu and took some photos for TA. Our friends asked if they still served pastry breakfast and they said yes. We ordered a three croissants (€2.50 each) and various coffees each separately (no Formules here) and settled down to enjoy the Parisian atmosphere sans tourists! Occasionally the waitress brought our a large tray of desserts to show customers, very tempting indeed but we did not want to spoil our appetites for the feast later. The croissants and codes were obviously good, served in brightly coloured cups as they were in our last proper breakfast place. This seems to be fashionable now! By 14:45 we had finished and ordered the bill which came printed as €20.80, twice the price of our usual place but anything else would have cost a lot more and spoilt our appetites. We left by 15:00 and I took photo of their A-frame advertising their cocktails at happy hour (17-20hrs). We continued on to the metro and Victor Hugo museum. Yes, our friend cooked us a feast later. We were hungry. Yes, we just about caught our 01:15 Flicbus from Bercy too.
