26/05/2024: Went to this restaurant a couple of years ago, and the whole experience was amazing. Since then, the quality has gone down. Wait staff are still attentive and warm, but the food has suffered. A couple of years ago, the food was simple, elegant, and flavorful. This last trip, the meal was overthought and bland. The theme of the menu could be described as "paper garnish in cream sauce." It reeked of a chef trying too hard to be novel, and as a result forgetting to season and failing to find balance. The exception to this was dessert. I agree with what other reviews have said, the chef has a better talent for dessert than anything else. The prices are about what you expect given the type of meal and the location. And the location is what you're paying for. But the addition of what seems to be a half- hearted attempt at a hip bar directly outside the window of what is trying to be a high-brow rooftop restaurant leaves the identity a bit confused.
