Au Bistrot sur Bordeaux

Found Au Bistrot by chance after visiting the nearby Marche des Capucins. There was no menu outside, so decided to just risk it as it looked interesting. Very busy at 12:30, but still a couple of tables free and some seats at the bar overlooking the kitchen. Lovely warm welcome from our waitress. We decided to go for the €23 set lunch - vegetable soup (squash or pumpkin maybe?) followed by chicken with lots of vegetables - both courses absolutely delicious. Buzzing atmosphere and great fun being able to see into the kitchen area.

Excellent experience!! My sister advised me to go there, and I must admit that it is excellent. Firstly you get what you pay for because the value for money is super super interesting. A starter + main course + coffee menu for €23. We had the chance to eat at the counter, I recommend it! On today's menu we had a cabbage soup with crème fraîche whipped with lemon and olive oil, exquisite! For the main course, a perfectly spiced black pudding served with seasonal vegetables. And the coffee which completes this very good experience. Very interesting restaurant that I recommend, and don't hesitate to visit the neighborhood because it is full of fabulous places.

After reading the reviews we decided to go and they put us at the bar since we didn't have a reservation. The experience is good since you see the chefs how they prepare the dishes, the problem is that you come out stinking of cooking and I didn't like that. The menu is "varied" but I think that in terms of quality/price, the price is high for what it is.

Welcome and bistro atmosphere at the rendezvous :) Impeccable service It's been a long time since I said to myself “Finally a restaurant where I am happy to pay” The quality of the products is really there I enjoyed the sweetbreads and the baba au rhum. I can't wait to come back Go for it without hesitation!

At the Bistrot, all the details count, and not just in the decor. The chef reveals his talents through his market cuisine. We only want to go and thank him for his well-executed dishes. Quality products, warm atmosphere, all punctuated by welcoming and smiling staff. Our waitress was so attentive that we didn't want to leave her. The 5 stars are not stolen! Thank you for this moment.

Posto molto carino e super consigliato dalle varie guide a due passi dal Mercato dei Cappuccini. Abbiamo trovato un' ottima qualità della materia prima. Consigliato il rognone e le aringhe marinare!
