03/04/2024: Our experience at LA CALE restaurant in DIEPPE was mixed. The quality of the food was excellent, but we were disappointed not to find a children's menu available. In addition, a poster at the entrance to the restaurant made a tasteless joke about children, which deeply displeased our 8-year-old son and us as parents. We expressed our concern to the waitress, who explained that it was humor, but we didn't find it funny at all. We believe it is important for establishments to understand the sensitivities of their customers and adapt their communication accordingly. Despite the quality of the cuisine, these aspects left us with a mixed impression. In response to your response: I assure you, I did not say thank you, nor goodbye when leaving: like father, like son would say you to me. When we had the “misfortune” of asking her for ketchup to accompany our fries, she was quite condescending, even letting us waive our request to avoid upsetting her. Really unfortunate that this tarnishes the reputation of the restaurant.
