17/02/2024: Best dinner we had in Paris! The owner is the one who served us - he was very kind and helpful. The meals were very tasty, the service was fast and prices are very affordable! The menu is not so varied but you can find appetizers, meat, desserts. We will surely come back here next time in Paris!

17/05/2024: Horrible service. I’m a reoccurring customer at Le Petit Celestin. The food is always impeccable, and I’ve always had an amazing experience with the exception to my most recent visit. This time it was clear I was not accepted due to my being an American. I am American but I am living in Paris and politely spoke French when I booked the reservation, when I arrived, and when I ordered. They brought all entrees and plats out at the same time, left the dirty dishes on our table for 1.5 hours (we had to stack them ourselves to make space), all while other tables got the usual treatment between each course, plates cleared, were checked in on, etc. The treatment was really unfortunate. The table next to us could even tell we weren't getting the usual service. I spoke to our server at the very end to share my concerns. He quickly realized I was not oblivious to the treatment. I’ve dined all throughout Europe and understand the process. We spent nearly 150 euro on our meal, and mind you, hundreds before this trip at Le Petit Celestin. We would’ve happily ordered more wine, food, and desserts but after the differential treatment was clear, we chose to not spend any more money nor our time. It was a true disappointment as I’ve recommended this restaurant to NUMEROUS friends and my mother flew into town to enjoy this meal on (US) Mother’s Day to recreate my amazing memories made at this restaurant, which this time wound up horribly due to Le Petit Celestin’s service.

03/05/2024: Very nice food and warm welcome in that typical French brasserie. Would definitely recommend, their Boeuf Bourguignon is to die for!

05/05/2024: Immediate embarkation for a timeless journey with light and fragrant cuisine in an elegant setting, enhanced by delicate service, pleasant by day for the view of the genius, as well as in the evening in the subdued lights of the beautiful art-deco decor of India Mahdavi .

03/04/2024: Translation issues here with our order. The New York brunch consists of 3 fried eggs, a sweet crepe, salad with dressing and a fruit salad!! A strange combo so we tried to change the eggs to cheese omlette, 3 fried eggs arrived. Oat Milk coffee arrived as hot milk. Not a great breakfast selection to be honest.

30/04/2024: Very charming place. Staff were very pleasant and helpful (I have trouble sometimes pairing an appropriate wine with food), and the food is wonderful (reasonably priced, too). The only issue was the presence of an overweight, long-haired American who kept humming songs. Specifically, songs from The Doors. He would walk out from time to time, going into the apartment building across the street. But he always returned, always humming The Doors. Near closing time he loudly announced that he needed to take a bath and left for good. Very strange.

05/05/2024: Want to drink stagnant water in a pitcher that hasn't been washed since 2020? You have found the perfect place! A coffee served with a great latte art but without any sugar on the side. A slice of carrot cake for 5 bucks or a slice of quiche for €9.50? At that price you could at least get decent service and working toilets. Not to mention the new technique of collecting crumbs from the tables which consists of mopping up the crumbs from the cakes with the palm of the hand, even if it falls into our glass (which was also dirty too). Surely buying a cloth or a sponge is too expensive... In short, move on.
