Huddled together from Brazil, Canada, France, Malaysia, and the Philippines, we embarked on a culinary adventure that left us in awe. The beauty of dining at a Chinese restaurant with friends lies in the opportunity to sample an array of dishes, and Le Grand Bol did not disappoint. Their menu marries authenticity with creativity, offering a tantalizing selection that delighted our diverse palates. Two standout dishes, the 'Porc braisé à la sauce "dongpo"' and 'Fruits de mer vapeur de vermicelles,' captured our hearts with their bold flavors and impeccable execution. Each bite was a symphony of taste, transporting us to the streets of China. What truly set Le Grand Bol apart was not just the food, but the warm hospitality extended by the boss and staff. They never rushing us even a queue outside waiting for the table . We're already planning our next visit, eager to explore more of their enticing menu offerings. A word to the wise: reservations are a must for larger groups, or arrive promptly at 7 to beat the rush. Le Grand Bol comes highly recommended for anyone seeking an authentic and unforgettable dining experience in Paris.

20/05/2024: So when I read reviews and learned about the concept of a "blind tasting," I was intrigued. I thought it would be fun, and even when I arrived, the host made it sound like it would be. But in the end, the chefs were just pumping out the same plates to everyone, and there was nothing fun about it, more just lazy in a way? and/or just easier for them since they just had to do the same 4-6 dishes per service? It basically looked like the prep for a wedding/event, where they just have to serve the same dish over and over again to the whole room. Since it's an open kitchen, you can see plates of the same sad dishes coming out, the chefs just looked bored adding the purees to the plate in the same way. It didnt feel at all special, more like a factory process. But that's my opinion obviously, maybe some people like that? Perhaps this is a reason why most chefs are usually NOT customer-facing and behind a kitchen - it's not that entertaining, unless you have personality to match or something fun to show. Food-wise, the fish was bland and almost tasteless, the steak was a bit tough, and I think there was just no love in the food. The only Korean I tasted was the bibimbap sauce; I didn't really feel like it was fusion anything. Also, I saw one of the chefs scrape puree back into its container from a dish they had plated but didn't end up serving. The service was meh, average again. It was neither good nor bad, but it could have been friendlier. They just gave me my food and wine, asked what I thought was in the dish, and then gave me the correct answer. Anyway, for $40 euros, it was fine. It wasn't great, but is also doesn't deserve anything below an average rating (which is 3 stars on TripAdvisor). It was average, and average was fine for lunch—I needed to eat! But I'm always disappointed when I go to celebrity chef restaurants, even if I get a bit of FOMO and need to try it out!

22/03/2024: Amazing tasting menu by chef Robert and his wife Jessica helped very much in delivering amazing wine as well. Very lovely people will go back for sure when ever I return to Paris

20/03/2024: Visiting from Singapore. We came here twice! Once for lunch and once for dinner. We heard great things about their pizza which is only served in the evenings. At first we could only get lunch reservations. Upon finishing our lunch we asked if there were any opening for dinner and we were lucky enough to score one. Lunch - €85/pax. Yummy and a wonderful meal! Robert (chef) and Jessica (front of house) were helpful, friendly, and warm. They had a French, Japanese, Italian theme going which was familiar yet refreshing. You don’t order from a menu but you’re served omakase style with the menu a rough guide for what might be available. They will try to accommodate any food allergies. Dinner - 4 pizzas €100: We’ve had pizza all over and this is definitely top 10 for us! Dan’s dough is light, crispy and flavorful. The toppings were unique, accessible, and above all yummy! We’ll definitely visit when we’re in Paris next time for both lunch and dinner!

05/04/2024: Breakfast at Obrkof because it’s close to my hotel, I don’t regret it at all. The fleur de sel cookie is delicious! I was also very well received by the person who was at the service on the morning of April 4. I will come back

22/03/2024: Excellent kosher butcher shop in Belleville! Always fresh and quality products! The young boss and employees always have a smile and a kind word: it’s appreciated! What's less so is not feeling the same consideration from one of the historic bosses when you go out with €15 or €150 worth of goods and that's a shame because life is expensive and everyone does his best to fit his wallet! I personally think that it is time for him to pass the torch to the new generation who are much more cheerful and less bitter.... And I will give 5 stars!

11/03/2024: New to the neighborhood, I was looking for a kosher butcher shop, I went there on the advice of a friend. Impeccable service, professional and very friendly. Prices more than reasonable. The quality is there, tender, tender meat and quality charcuterie. To try it is to adopt it. 🥰

Very authentic dishes, fantastic atmosphere and great decor, really friendly staff and we felt very welcome 🤗 the tinola especially was delightful and the monggo also fantastic. Mango float for dessert was sublime, so tasty and not too sweet!! Thank you so much

02/04/2024: There are barely any options for froid but there are casual drink options. It’s great to work from because there is WiFi and several tables. The name lives up to the space because it has a lot of art and music related books as well as instruments which are so lovely to be around while you work!
