21/05/2024: Absolutely delicious indien food, spiced cocktails in an elegant setting. Everything we ordered was wonderful and tasted better than any indien food we had ever had. The pistachio and coconut naan was fantastic and served as dessert for us! Highly recommend!

04/05/2024: Indian restaurant rue de la Division Leclerc. Take the tram to get there. The interior is welcoming but is not very large. It's even a little dark there. The tables are covered with a white tablecloth. The service is exclusively male. No paper map only in scan form. No Indian beer. The appetizers are at affordable prices. The menu is not too extensive, which is a sign of quality. We opted for an assortment of starters accompanied by Indian bread (2 Samosas, 2 Chicken Lollipops and 2 beef rolls). For the dishes we had Briyani chicken and Chettinadu lamb. It was a real treat. The desserts were not left out either. Only downside, the service, he was a little lost and disoriented even though there weren't too many people

05/04/2024: The restaurant can be found in a beautiful alley typical of Strasbourg. As soon as you enter the restaurant you find yourself in a cozy atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We felt very comfortable. Authentic Indian food is offered. I had the Tandoori Chicken Tikka, which was very tasty. My wife enjoyed vegetarian food, which made her very happy. The food was so delicious that we ate there every night of our three day getaway. We would love to come back!

04/04/2024: Centrally located, pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant should have closed in 15 minutes, but we were served comfortably and without any time pressure. And it was almost full. Tasty dishes, freshly baked flatbread (very hot!) and a naan is enough for two people. Freshly prepared mango lassi, highly recommended.

05/04/2024: Very attentive and friendly service. Excellent and authentic dishes and a cozy atmosphere. We would like to come again!

16/05/2024: We are fond of Indian food and after having tested several restaurants in Strasbourg we had to go to this one to try... Well it's not bad, but so not up to par compared to the others. In fact, I had a butter chicken, it was good but very lacking in taste... the same for the tikka masala. I will add that the quantity of sauce is really insufficient...Also, the garlic naan had almost no garlic taste?! For dessert it’s ok. In fact, if I hadn't tried it elsewhere I could easily consider it delicious, but that's not the case. To choose, I would recommend Shahi Mahal or Tamil.

08/05/2024: I have known the Shahi Mahal for a long time. Oddly enough, I had never left a review. In general it is very good. Today, a public holiday, I settled for a daily special priced at €13.50. Nice. I recommend, for my part I always come back. Calm atmosphere today, but during a busy week it’s tough. Pleasant and fast service.

28/05/2024: Must try restaurant for Indian food in the area. Our server was a very kind lady. I ordered the lamb biryani and my friend ordered the shahi quorma with shrimp. We both loved our food.

11/05/2024: What can I say. But everything from the beginning. We were looking for a restaurant to have something to eat and since we didn't want the usual fast food, we found ourselves in front of this place. The “OPEN” sign was lit but it was closed. When we wanted to leave, it said it opens again at 6:30 p.m., the owner stopped us on the street and asked in English if we wanted something to eat. We said yes and so he and his wife opened “extra” for us. We ordered our food and it came relatively quickly. I assume some of it was already pre-cooked. So the food was ok, but the prices are steep. Since we all got full somehow quickly, we thought we would take the rest with us, which was a lot. Paradoxically, the food itself wasn't much, it was just a lot for us as it was a hot day and the food was hot too. When we asked the lady of the house if we could have it packed, you could clearly see the disappointment and anger on her face. As if she cooked for us privately and we rudely refused to eat. We're paying for it one way or another. Your attitude is really questionable. Anyway, she came with two bowls, a large one and a small one, even though we had food for 5 people in front of us and literally rammed everything into these two bowls and mumbled something under her breath. All the food was also mixed. Apparently we didn't believe that we were actually full and actually still had a few kilometers to drive and so didn't have that much time. She brought us the bill in annoyance and I almost had to run into the restaurant to bring her the money. There was no change but didn't want to cause a scene as it wasn't much. Just my good manners. When we ordered drinks, half of them were missing, so she simply brought us cans or bottles of drinks and simply put the glasses down and left. Then came the rest and it was wrong, with the statement that they only have these. And the prices are really way too high and exorbitant for the place and the food. Service was bad, the food was actually ok, but this promotion made it bad and the location was more of a snack bar than a restaurant and much too small. How disappointing. If only we would have preferred to eat fast food and not open it specifically.

21/12/2023: Cozy vibes, tasty pizza that’s almost a mix of tarte flambé and tasty wood fired oven pizza. We enjoyed it a lot!
