19/03/2024: Quick visit to Guéret to choose a puppy. We stopped at the Le Pommeil hotel for one night, on 03/08/2024. The room is perfect, equipped with all the necessary amenities, impeccably clean, excellent bedding and calm reigns. Parking located behind the hotel out of sight. The young (courageous) couple who run the place are charming, attentive and not shy of words, a very good family atmosphere. The cuisine is careful, delicious and in abundance, breakfast as well. We highly recommend this place and on a future visit to Guéret we will definitely stay there. Thank you again for this wonderful welcome. Jean-Loup B.

18/03/2024: Friendly, family-run hotel restaurant. Very clean and impeccable bedding. As for the meals, well done to the cook who is none other than the young owner. Succulent dishes. Bravo to this very courageous young couple who are very invested in the revitalization of this hotel restaurant.

11/05/2024: Small stop on the holiday route in this pretty village. Like many, we rely on the glowing reviews of this restaurant. We take a menu for €23.50: Creuse salad… second bite, I impale a piece of wood in my palate! Piece of wood which turns out to be a toothpick folded in half, no toothpick on our table though… I call the waiter to tell him about the inconvenience (yes, because everyone loves eating the toothpick with which Pépé Robert picked his teeth, it's well known...🤮). The waiter's response, laughing: Oh yes, it was me who made him fall in! We thought it was a joke! But no ! The joke is when he brings back another plate with half a Creuse salad, nothing to do with the first (oops, I ate a leaf of salad and an eighth of a hard-boiled egg) and this without a word 'excuse ! Suffice to say that he arranged the first salad and brought us the same plate, which we had to peel to be sure not to eat any other pieces of wood. It’s dangerous, disrespectful and disgusting! (and I'm polite...) When it was time to add it, I wanted to stick a toothpick I had chewed into his mouth, just to see if it disgusted him too. There are a number of small restaurants in this pretty little village which will certainly be good and have a minimum of hygiene and respect for its customers. At worst, go there to eat Grandpa Robert's toothpick, at least you won't be disappointed!

11/05/2024: Petit arrêt sur la route des vacances dans ce joli village. Comme beaucoup, nous nous fions aux avis élogieux sur ce restaurant. Nous prenons un menu à 23€ 50 : salade creusoise… deuxième bouchée, je m’empale un morceau de bois dans le palais ! Morceau de bois qui s’avère être un cure-dent plié en deux, aucun cure-dent sur notre table pourtant… J’appelle le serveur pour lui faire part du désagrément ( oui , parce que tout le monde adore manger le cure-dent avec lequel Pépé Robert s’est curé les dents, c’est bien connu …🤮). La réponse du serveur , riant : Ah oui c’est moi qui l’ai fait tombé dedans ! Nous avons cru à une blague ! Mais non ! La blague , c’est quand il ramène une autre assiette avec une demi- salade creusoise, rien à voir avec la première ( oups, j’avais mangé une feuille de salade et un huitième d’œuf dur ) et ce sans un mot d’excuse ! Autant dire qu’il a arrangé la première salade et nous a rapporté la même assiette , qu’il a fallu éplucher pour être sûrs de ne pas manger d’autres morceaux de bois. C’est dangereux , irrespectueux et dégoûtant ! ( et je suis polie …) Au moment de l’addition, j’ai eu envie de lui coller dans la bouche un cure-dent mâchouillé par mes soins, juste pour voir si ça le dégoûte lui aussi . Il y a nombre de petits restaurants dans ce joli petit village qui ne manqueront certainement pas d’être bons et d’avoir un minimum d’hygiène et de respect pour ses clients. Au pire, allez-y pour manger le cure-dent de pépé Robert, au moins vous ne serez pas déçus !

12/05/2024: Restaurant found by chance, initially chosen for the picturesque location. This allowed us to discover a very pleasant place, friendly owners and a divine meal, which has nothing to envy of starred restaurants! Thank you again for this moment, we will come back with great pleasure.

28/04/2024: I discovered this place by chance during my cycling trip!!! What a nice surprise 👍 I wanted to settle in, but I was informed that everything was booked! I was surprised… But I quickly understood… when I had the meal at the bar… I had the soup, savory pie, sweet potatoes accompanied by garden salad… A delight ♥️ A treat ♥️ Without forgetting the homemade dessert… Thanks to the whole team and the Chef👍 There are also lots of surprises at the store 👍 Tip: book before coming😂

09/05/2024: The people of Lille thank you for your friendly welcome and especially for your excellent cuisine. We had a great time on the terrace under the sun. The sirloin is killer and the strawberries are excellent, not to mention the cheeses. We only enjoyed the restaurant and we will come back

25/05/2024: Lovely lunch by the river today, food was excellent as was the service. My salade de rosbif was really tasty and the beef cooked to perfection. Sweet waitress who spoke better English than i speak French..! Not expensive, would thoroughly recommend!

20/05/2024: A gem in the Indre/Creuse! What a lovely place to have lunch with the river next to the terrace. Extremely friendly owner and service. The menu is partly English/Irish oriented. The food (salad and fish & chips) is good, not excellent, but the atmosphere and freshly squeezed drinks make up for it. We had been here before while staying at our sister's farm, which is also the case now. You won't find another place as cozy in this agricultural-livestock region. Recommended!

14/03/2024: We have been eating these pizzas for 5 years and we find them super good and what's more, the maxi size is really big, we will never change our habit because for us it is the best pizza in the Creuse

26/03/2024: Very good restaurant, which doesn't look like much from the road. The chef is nice, yes, yes! Large selection of wines and whiskeys, excellent and gigantic cheese platter. A good time with friends.

The value for money is exceptional From appetizers to desserts, there is no false note in terms of quantity, textures or freshness of the products. We had a delicious time in this restaurant with its elaborate and warm decor. Thank you for this moment of life Ps: Arabica coffee still prevents you from sleeping a little (joke dedicated to the hostess) ;-)

01/05/2024: Nous avons fait nos 3 anniversaires, et nous avons vraiment été ravis de ce repas , accueil chaleureux, menus à 65€ .mais franchement c'était succulent..des saveurs subtiles,des associations raffinées..quand au dessert là avec le dôme au yuzu..j'ai voyagé...tout était parfait...plus la petite attention pour notre anniversaire 🎂 vraiment sympa... Merci pour votre sourire ,votre gentillesse et votre dynamisme...

26/04/2024: Je ne peux pas parler de la gastronomie mais je ne doute pas qu’elle soit excellente. Lors d’une longue sortie vélo entre amis nous avions projeté de pique niquer car sport et gros repas ne sont pas compatibles. Mais la météo nous a joué des tours : pluie et froid. Arrivés à Crozant nous sommes dégoulinants et grelottants. Et nous voyons sur la vitre un repas « pèlerin » à 6,50 euros. Malgré nos tenues trempées on nous accepte et nous nous réchauffons à l’accueil. La table pour cinq est dressée dans un coin super joli et nous dégustons une soupe succulente, du fromage copieux et des fraises fromage blanc en dessert. Le tout avec l’amabilité des serveurs. Nous repartons réchauffés et ragaillardis par ce bon moment. Une très belle découverte à conseiller !!!
