27/03/2024: Second year in Val Thorens on a ski holiday at Easter and second year that we have this restaurant on the slopes as an obligatory stop. From the hamburgers to the omelette, to the menus and not forgetting the desserts, everything is delicious. The service and attention very good. We will repeat!
25/03/2024: This place is amazing, awesome food.
We came back 5 days in a row.
We tried several Entrees, all were done to perfection.
Beer is top notch, so is the service.

02/04/2024: We have renamed this great restaurant our home restaurant. A great menu, fantastic staff and atmospheric. We had a delicious meal here every evening from March 30 to April 5.

28/04/2024: We took a pierrade for 3 people. The meat portion was relatively small.
26/04/2024: We spent a week's vacation in Val Thorens in April. We ate at different restaurants including the small farm.
We eat well there, the pizzas are good and very successful.
A big thank you to Justine for the service who is a very smiling and pleasant girl. Hence the 3 stars. On the other hand, for the rest of the indoor team, it needs to be reviewed and it is rather 1 star.
We feel rushed when we are the last table, they start to clean the floor of the room when we are barely at dessert. We smell the smell of cleaning products.
One of the staff members in the back kitchen says: “Come on, let’s get out of here” so we don’t know if it’s for us or if he wants to get out of there as he says.
We didn't even dare to have dessert, for fear of delaying their closing time.
Mixed experience.

13/04/2024: Nous y allons chaque année depuis quelques années et nous avons toujours été conquis. Cette année, la magie est redescendue. J’aurais pu mettre 4 étoiles car le cadre est très sympa et les plats bons mais comme nous avons un peu déçus, ce sera trois étoiles. Le service qui est d’habitude au top était en dessous. Un serveur pour la commande, un pour les boisson et un autre pour les plats et donc cafouillage. Un schwepps qui est noté 33cl dans le menu et un schwepps qui arrive en 25cl, je fais la remarque mais ça ne change rien, même pas nous allons faire le nécessaire pour rectifier la carte. Les prix ont beaucoup augmenté mais la qualité a un peu baissé. Le burger était moins copieux, les frites qui étaient excellentes ont perdu en qualité. Les pizzas sont toujours excellentes. Nous y sommes également allés pour un goûter mais il n’y avait plus de gaufres, pas de chance. Bref un avis assez mitigé, nous y retournerons certainement l’an prochain en espérant vivre un meilleur moment.
23/03/2024: Service limite, cuisine très très limite, addition salée, music trop forte, on ne reviendra pas, mais sa peu plaire à certain ambiance cool un peu trop peut-être à notre goût.

13/05/2024: 6 of us had take away burgers ,quite simply we all agreed we were robbed ,we paid full menu prices for take aways that were wet , soggy and cold , clearly they had been prepared well in advance of collection, from 6 boxs ,we threw 2 whole boxs away never again

Johns Scandinavian Restaurant

23/04/2024: John's American and Scandinavian provided us with our half board option for our ski trip. Breakfast was an extensive cold selection with cereals, fruit, meat and cheese with various breads and boiled eggs. Dinner at the scandi side was 3 course from a set menu (Veg and fish options) and all very high quality in a nice atmosphere. At the Am side on the lower road, this was a more typical US selection, also very nice and with a noisier atmosphere to go with the food. Both were great and the service was friendly and quick. Highly recommended.
15/04/2024: I had a wonderful dining experience at Scandinavian Brasserie and Wine Bar in Val Thorens. The atmosphere is cozy, perfect after a long day on the slopes. The staff, especially Lea and Emma, were exceptionally welcoming and professional, ensuring a memorable evening. The Skagen Toast was absolutely phenomenal, bursting with flavor, and a must-try. Another standout was their homemade hot shot, a unique concoction that warms you right up. A visit here is a delightful blend of great food and heartwarming hospitality, making it a top recommendation for anyone in the area.
