04/05/2024: I came here with a friend to meet another Englishman and his partner who live locally. The room was comfortable and I slept well. The highlight was the meal we had. The chef came from the kitchen to tell us about some steak she was cooking that evening. My local friend, who often uses the restaurant suggested it was a good choice. It certainly was. An excellent choice, beautifully cooked (rare for me) and rested. Delicious, and so tender it gained my "Ruler Steak" assessment, it would have been fit for an Emperor, but my use of the word means you could cut it with a ruler, didn't need a knife. An excellent meal I enjoyed local cheese, though the dessert my companions had, a local variation of baked Alaska, brought flaming to the table did make me think I would have enjoyed it. Certainly a place I would choose, if in the area again.

30/12/2023: Pleasant place, but staff not necessarily pleasant, and high prices, depending on the time it refuses customers.

01/04/2024: Great welcome from the boss who does everything himself. Generous portions, like him. We came two days in a row (yesterday at noon and the day before yesterday at noon) and each time we were delighted. Thank you, we recommend this very nice and authentic restaurant with good quality family cuisine.

07/02/2024: Simple but super good food. The portions are generous and the chef came by to ask if we wanted a new portion once the plates were finished. Value for money more than correct. Starters and desserts varied and also very good. A good little place to go if you are passing through!

27/08/2023: Disappointing food truck, no offer for cooking meat. No more fries… refund 2 euros. Hamburger that remains on the stomach. Expensive for what it is.

08/08/2023: The owner is unfriendly...he has a commercial smile on the inside but the worst of M....s on the outside.Asocial and not hesitating to try to run you over if you are a pedestrian and you will waste 5 seconds of his precious time. ADDRESS TO ABSOLUTELY PROHIBIT, GO EAT ELSEWHERE.

10/03/2024: We love this restaurant. Excellent raclette and good quality of charcuterie. Lovely place in the center of Chateauroux.
