Restaurant La Cour des Ducs sur Couiza

Total change of scenery. We went as a couple with our eight year old son to visit the Cathar castles and sleeping in a monument only added charm to our stay. The staff is very welcoming, professional and smiling. The furniture is in keeping with the setting. Refined dinners and quite a few choices at the breakfast buffet. Thanks again to all the staff for their kindness.

We chose this castle to try something different. A real castle run by a couple of really smart "castellans" (husband and wife). original location that manages to bring the Middle Ages together with technology and comfort without distorting it. typical spiral staircase leading to the upper floors where the guest rooms are. the reception, the breakfast/lunch area and a bar/lounge well stocked with mainly local wines and spirits overlook the internal courtyard. Chosen for its proximity to Rennes Les Chateau, Carcassone and another multitude of Cathar castles. Highly recommended.
