The Makila Café is a beautiful family story, it's Basque sunshine on the plates, it's real homemade with delicious fries. It's a beautiful terrace in front of the Garonne and a top team who goes out of their way to welcome you for lunch, dinner, or an aperitif.

L'orangerie du jardin public

23/05/2024: Very nice terrace in a pretty setting. On the other hand, the service and order taking time is very long despite the efforts made by the only two servers present that day for a crowded terrace.
21/05/2024: The setting is still as pleasant. But we will regret a somewhat slow and messy service. The first waiter seemed to wander around, a little lost before children took our order. We had to wait for the goodwill of a second server in order to be able to pay for our consumption.

09/05/2024: Yet another restaurant to put in our list of good Bordeaux restaurants. The starters (octopus casserole for me and escargot for my other half) and the dishes (scallops and sweet potato puree and prawn risotto) were tasty and delicious. The dishes were plentiful and unfortunately I did not have the pleasure of tasting their profiteroles which I saw passed to another table but it was only later. If you see a photo of them it means we will be back. Big plus at the cocktail which is a treat.
09/05/2024: 4 stars 🌟 1 less for the unbearable noise of the chairs being dragged by the waiters.. The rest very good
