We don’t miss the opportunity to come back every year for an anthology raclette! Unlimited cheese and potatoes, choice cold meats including a fabulous truffled ham. The ice creams are artisanal: I particularly liked the one with génep! The coffee was offered to us as well as the kindness and professionalism of the waitresses

Very beautiful place in the middle of the Cévennes forest, with a quiet traditional restaurant, with a large fireplace, all 10km from L'Espérou and 15km from the Prat Peyrot station at the foot of Mont Aigoual. Generous cuisine, mainly based on local products (mushrooms, meats, wines...) ideal for hikers or skiers with a good appetite! We came as a family and in street clothes, and that works too!!! Very welcoming and available staff. A place to discover for its authenticity, with plenty of hikes (all levels) departing from the restaurant, to stretch your legs on the way out!

We had a great time. Lunch at the top with good, fresh, quality products. We ordered a raclette, it was delicious, quality cheese. After a trip to the Vigan market on Saturday morning, lunch is a must at La Maison des Cevennes. I advise, there is something for everyone. And a good atmosphere thanks to a great fireplace.

My wife and I took a car trip through the Chevennes in our Smart Roadster in the summer of 2023. Enjoying the beautiful views, I wanted to park the Smart. But I overlooked a ditch and the car slowly sank into it. I wasn't going to get that out on my own. Luckily some nice ladies stopped by who were actually picking mushrooms. They called Damien, the manager of La Maison des Cévennes. He would certainly know what to do. Long story, short story. Damien came, arranged a few more people and so the Smart got back on the road. Thanks to the extremely friendly and spontaneous help from the people on the mountain, we got back on our way. If all the people in the world were as kind and helpful as the people on this mountain, the world would be a better place. Damien, the mushroom pickers and others.
