We had a private evening at the L’escient restaurant. The dishes were delicious and above all we were very well received by the team! I highly recommend :)

Excellent table, value for money! Simple but reassuring card. The dishes are well done, tasty and well presented. Simple but sufficient wine list. The service, very attentive, discreet and helpful, is a little moody (forgetting cutlery twice) but that in no way spoils the time spent at this table.

The new owners of the restaurant have been able to recapture the spirit of the place by further improving the quality of the products, the dishes, a little less on the presentation which could be a bit more careful, but quickly forgotten thanks to the flavors. I took the crying tiger, a must-try, as well as the broth as a starter, warm welcome, and good wine list, notably the Crozes-Hermitage, or the Ventoux for those who prefer white, fair price, small mention for the logo which perfectly sums up the state of mind of the place. I will happily come back with a nice table to show friends this place.

Excellent service, we arrived 50 minutes late (…) and were very well received! Excellent food, just the right amount and finesse. I'll be back ! (Starter + main course + dessert + wine at 60€/pers)

The owner and the map have changed. It's important to say this because the old photos you see on the internet have nothing to do with current reality. The cuisine is rather family style, sometimes clumsily executed (almost hard-boiled egg as a starter for example and crème brûlée not really set and therefore rather liquid and without vanilla for €12...). A neighborhood restaurant with a limited menu and therefore certainly a good propensity for fresh produce. We believe it when we are told that everything is homemade.

Brasserie L'esplanade

31/03/2024: We had a pleasant time. The server was pleasant.
24/02/2024: February 2024 update: so good! Brasserie with good classics, generous portions, sunny bay window on a winter day, very pleasant service... tarin tart at the top, as always! 😋 January 2022: I returned yesterday and today to this brasserie after a few years of absence, due to the unpleasant service. The place is still in a south-facing location facing the Bois de Vincennes (what joy in winter!), certainly a little rustic/historic but the staff is pleasant and the dishes (reduced menu) are good and generous, that's good a neighborhood brasserie, with a good terrace and very rarely with queues (except on the terrace in summer). I'll be back!
