Les Coques de Cabourg sur Cabourg

I had the pleasure of organizing a visit to the Grand Hôtel de Cabourg with the 1st year Bachelor class from the Tunon International School in Caen. I teach a course on the world of Luxury Hotels. What could be better than this emblematic place to illustrate this subject in real size. The Grand Hôtel de Cabourg is and will remain a big name in French hotels. He is a source of inspiration for the entire world of hospitality. You were generous enough to answer our questions in complete transparency, as well as to show us behind the scenes of this emblem of the region. My comment only concerns the seafront bar, in the evening, on the promenade. Spritz Normand: great discovery! However, even if the 2 servers are welcoming and do their best, for such an establishment, the service is not up to par: we had to go get the cards and place an order at the counter (like at the local bar😯 ).... 15€ the cocktail deserves more finishing in the preparation and attention (one more person? 🤔). Unfortunately, the experience is neither up to par with the bar, nor with Balbec where the moments were pure delight.....

Iconic and legendary place in Cabourg. The establishment relies on its past prestige. Staff (Host very professional and friendly) Reception staff to be reviewed (no welcome, fairly long waiting time, but responsiveness for the Accor loyalty service) We had warned the hotel that our stay - two nights - was for a special occasion - no personalized attention which I particularly regret - the establishment is still classified 5 stars - Attention offered at check out following sharing of the remark The 4* room corresponds to the view Breakfast with local products but fairly standard

A dream stay in a historic place steeped in culture and French know-how. The staff takes great care, a smile and a sense of service are essential values ​​of the Grand Hôtel de Cabourg. We had a wonderful stay despite the gloomy weather.

I went there for a snack, the madeleines and Viennese chocolate were excellent!
