This restaurant near the cathedral offers quality French cuisine (maître restaurateur). The service is perfect and many wines by the glass are offered. The prices offered are reasonable. The website is up to date and the menu changes regularly. It is advisable to reserve but a few tables may be available in this magnificent setting of old Chartres. (right opposite the prefecture)

Excellent restaurant. Heartwarming welcome. Excellent dishes, the menu at 42 euros and top fresh products, respected cooking, a menu at this price so elaborate is a rare thing, I can only recommend this restaurant, Best of all, there's always someone in the dining room who checks that you don't need anything. It's one of the only restaurants where I haven't had to ask for bread. The very small minus is the cold air which passes despite the entrance airlock each time the front door is opened. Otherwise only plus for this restaurant

Restaurant very close to the cathedral that you pass by without knowing it. It is a former gambling den converted into a restaurant. The cuisine is truly excellent and is a treat for the taste buds. Everything is homemade from local and fresh products, no frozen foods. The room staff is welcoming and available. We ate very well and good value for money.

Sunday lunch with friends for the first time at the Tripot. Only good things to say about it: perfect welcome and service, lots of kindness; small original appetizers and high quality products. To be tested without hesitation.

06/04/2024: An absolutely brilliant restaurant in Chartres. Traditional French cuisine with quality products. A superb selection of wine. And an absolutely adorable boss. We had a great time!
05/04/2024: Great food, friendly service and authentic atmosphere. Highly recommended for visiting! Do not get scared by closing time at 9pm, we came at around 8:15 pm and stayed for a great 2 hours-long dinner.

29/03/2024: Great place for families and vegetarians. It's clean, there's space, variety, a perfectly balanced children's menu, great service and ideally located between the cathedral and a parking lot. Nice stopover and thank you! Besides, many locals come there even during the week.
27/03/2024: We had a great time! The lamb shank is very good and we also loved the adventurer's plate. Impeccable service.
