Le Relais des Forges sur Belfort

From the outside, it doesn't look like much. The interior is ok but what is most important will be on your plate. If the menu is not very diversified, it is to better concentrate on the essentials, and there, mushrooms are king. Add to that a friendly welcome, attentive and keen to respond to your requests. It's ultimately a nice little place, where you eat well and which makes you want to come back.

Our son moved very close to the Relais des Forges. We came yesterday Sunday lunchtime to order a portion of beef cheeks with mashed potatoes and Kiki, the kind owner, who does everything herself, lent us plates and cutlery. Then when it was time to go get our takeaway, we decided to eat our meal in the dining room, a family restaurant with a wooded decor with wooden mushrooms, a warm welcome and above all generous home cooking, a real delight, we didn't have time to eat dessert. My husband can't wait to come back to try all the dishes. I told our son that he could come and enjoy the food with his eyes closed. Thank you for this traditional cuisine. This is a very nice discovery. I highly recommend it.

Looking for a restaurant in Belfort on a Sunday lunchtime, we ended up at the Relais des Forges. Seen from the outside, a doubt overwhelms us. Finally we pass the door and there, the magic happens. Authentic bistro decor, warm welcome and what can we say about the cuisine. Tasty products, local recipes, a real taste pleasure and more than fair prices. We do not regret having pushed the door and we invite you to do the same.

Very warm place where you can eat at any time, with the added bonus of a friendly welcome and a meal worthy of the name since the owner prepares all these dishes and desserts herself. Passionate about mushrooms, you will taste excellent crusts and why not continue with the flambéed Munster to finish with the homemade rum baba. Absolutely worth discovering.
