Delightful!!!’ Hearty, genuine food. Lively atmosphere and server/owner. For people who love food, local wine and joie de vivre. Our absolute favourite dinner in France so far! (We spent a week in Paris 🙄). Local ingredients in no way compromises the level of this food - it showcases them!

I really enjoyed my meal at Le Petit Verdot. I had the artichoke starter and it was wonderful. All of the starters looked amazing. The beef main course was cooked perfectly and the wine pairing made this a great experience. I had the Lavender Crème Brûlée for dessert and it was fantastic. Please visit if you can, you won’t be disappointed.

The argument here is very simple: you are in Aix, come and eat here at least once, a little hidden place but you need to book. Third time. Between a restaurant and a bistro in France. Always the bistro is a rule for me. Not for the price, because you have to expect 50+ per person, but for the quality. Excellent dishes and I am very critical of how people eat in France. Mini guide for those coming from Italy. We have trattorias and they have bistros. A bistro in Italy is a wine bar where you taste while drinking wine, usually heated stuff but it doesn't have a kitchen due to laws etc. etc. Sometimes it's a wine bar + restaurant. Here the bistro is a restaurant with only the dishes of the day. They could be the same for months but there is no fixed menu.

Very good address in Aix en Provence. Everything is home-cooked, with an open kitchen. Kind and efficient service. Delicious dishes.

Superbe découverte , le patron explique sa carte avec passion (petite ardoise donc produits frais) Les cuisses de grenouilles extraordinaires, j'en ai même commandé une seconde portion ! Et la pêche : Du loup super bon aussi avec une sauce a la passion assaisonnée juste comme il le fallait. Gentillesse du chef qui a eu un petit mot pour savoir si cela nous plaisait donc vous êtes bien dans un endroit où le client est pris au sérieux, et même bichonné ! Je conseille et je reviendrai.
