We arrived on the eve of a wedding for lunch and stopped at this small chic restaurant. We had specialties from Angoulême and we highly recommend it.

Excellent cuisine, the atmosphere of the place is great. Small downside in the downstairs room where there should be less cutlery to avoid having to stand on top of each other. Besides that, a very good restaurant in the heart of Angoulême. I recommend 👍

Wide variety of French food and ambience is good with two level storey seating. Ordered different dishes to try and only the dessert is good with Ile flottante. The lamb leg and camembert cheese were great. The beef skewers is tough for medium done.

The staff speaks very good English and serves with bright smile. The hot camembert starter is surprisingly strong and goes well with bread. The mains are hearty for French standard. The slewers are quite unique. The 'floating island' egg white in custard dessert is well executed. Hard to find this. Busy but can find a table on sunday evening

23/03/2024: We come to this restaurant every time and we are never disappointed. Everything is very good and homemade, a treat, I recommend it to anyone coming to visit Angouleme or to eat there. The service is great and the people are super welcoming.
