Great spot! Great for people watching, ambiance, drinks and sandwiches. Staff wasn't the most personable but they were quick and attentive as long as you called them over and that was great for us. Happy to return!

A bit on the expensive side if you're not there for Happy Hour (18:00).

We went for lunch and I ordered an a la carte dish, the duck confit. It was very tasty and was well served.
The service was polite, but the orders took a while to arrive at the table (even though the restaurant was not full).

The location is great as it's completely on the side of the road. I ordered two cups of coffee and a cake, and when I asked for an extra spoon, they brought me another cake. I said I didn't order it, but they kept giving me a receipt, so I thought it was a communication error and brought it home wrapped! It was delicious, so I decided to think of it as a fun episode.

It’s a large, old-fashioned brasserie-style café that we like!
The place is charming. A large terrace for a coffee with a view of the busy pedestrians and the tram.
It is an institution. I like it.
The service is very slow on one side of the terrace and very efficient on the other side.
I go back every time just for the atmosphere.

Nice bar/bistro with a good view of the main shopping street in Nice - avenue Jean Médicin. Great place to people watch, while you enjoy a coffee, ice cream, snack or drink and your companion goes shopping in the Nice Étoile shopping centre across the road. Really nice coffee. Option of enjoying refreshments outside or in the warmer salle indoors. Usually very busy, with waiters run off their feet. We were lucky to visit in late March when the staff were not too busy and the service was excellent. Not cheap, but you are paying for the location and the view of the world going by. Recommended.
