Le Château de la Vérie sur Challans

There is so much character in this chateau & you feel like living in the past. I took a 3 day stay, the feeling is just wonderful. The hosts Nienke & Ariel are warm and attentive, no request goes unattended. The place is as clean as any international chain 4 🌟 hotels despite its historical character & decoration. Remember, not every chateau will leave you with memories as beautiful as this.

Room 21 in the castle, 2nd floor Super friendly on the phone. English and German are also spoken. Extremely beautifully located. The room is very cozy with a bay window seating area where you can end the evening with a bottle of wine. Unfortunately there is no dinner on Sundays. You can also have pizza delivered to the castle or, like us, drive 6 km to the next town of Challans to the Vietnamese all-you-can eat restaurant. The breakfast is lovingly prepared in a great atmosphere and gluten-free is possible. Boiled eggs and cold cuts are also available upon request. Very nice stay. We would love to come back!
