Blue Thistle... just the name is immediately captivating. So, quite frankly for those who don't know yet, get there as quickly as possible.
IT’S SIMPLY BRILLIANT 😇
Serge and Julie welcome us to their restaurant in the city center, overlooking the Elorn, with a joy of living and sharing. A sense of hospitality that I have rarely seen in my life:
✅ the welcome and service are impeccable;
✅ the room is superb, at once intimate, warm and modern;
✅ the drinks menu is varied and original, I always find new gems (thank you Julie for your wise advice!);
✅ the menu comes in three versions: the daily one (and I checked, it really changes EVERY lunchtime), the seasonal one (lunch and dinner) and the Inspiration menu...
So I have to tell you about it. Yes I agree, cooking with fresh products from local producers is fundamental to offering tasty cuisine, but what Serge offers us goes beyond that. He was truly born to do this job. Fortunately for us, he chose hotel school when he was little, then moved around in large houses in Paris before settling in Landerneau. A very good technician who in addition to being in love with his pots 🔥 really knows how to be creative on the plate 🍛 He combines meat, fish, vegetables and fruits with precision and emotion to make exceptional dishes. Both simple and subtle, deep and light, classic and surprising.
I really think that saying about him that he revisits traditional cuisine is not enough to comment on the work he does with his team. No, Serge dares, innovates, takes his time to perfect his proposals and more importantly wants to share his findings with his customers 🍀
It's simply brilliant.
And when you go, don't hesitate to chat with Serge and Julie because they are beautiful people with always fascinating conversations.
You will have understood, I can only recommend Le Chardon Bleu ❤️ Remember to book before going there!

Excellent family meal. Everything was perfect: the kindness of the owners, the quality meal, from the starter to the desserts, the very nice setting,... in short, a real good time in a very nice restaurant

It's exactly the kind of restaurant that has little hidden gems.
the cuisine is meticulous, we feel that the ingredients are chosen with love for a job well done.
the boss knows how to work with seafood very well.
all for very reasonable prices considering the quality served.
the service is quite charming too.
in short, a beautiful address well located in Landerneau.

Found completely by chance. The reservation was sudden but accepted, thank you! A very good discovery, we let ourselves be tempted by the chef's menu. Truly sublime. As for the quality of service, it is top notch!
We stayed a good time to chat, thank you for having us, we had a wonderful evening!
