Le Charbon Ardent sur Lille

Very nice experience at Ardent. The restaurant is located in a forest, very calm and relaxing. The very friendly staff offered us an aperitif in front of a fireplace... top notch! The dishes, around the theme of the forest, were all as surprising as each other (and good incidentally!) Visit from the chef at the end of the meal who comes to present the final surprise and ensure that everyone has had a good meal.

We chose the four-course menu (€55), in fact we received 7 dishes. Lots of vegetables very well worked around the forest theme, you don't feel unpleasantly full. The children were very well received, they were able to play outside while waiting for their meal. The location is magnificent.

What a slap... The restaurant is located in the middle of a superb natural setting with the forest as its main backdrop, which appears to be THE common thread of this oh-so-immersive experience. Obviously the dishes are very careful and aesthetic, but what stands out above all is the exceptional explosion of flavors in the mouth. The play of textures and tastes is ultra-mastered to create a harmonious surprise in the mouth. I only felt this sensation once at the Michelin-starred chef Matthias Marc and I clearly didn't think I could find it just a stone's throw from my home in an establishment that is only missing its first star. . A rare enough point to be underlined: the chef made the effort to bring a dish to each table himself. Well done to the whole team, thank you for your fabulous work. The service was impeccable.

Warm atmosphere, cuisine full of surprises, pleasant and attentive staff, we had a guest with gluten-free restrictions, and she really enjoyed it too, a great time for our son's 18th birthday 😊

This restaurant is one of the TOP! In a magical place, a young chef excels in his field. I'm sure he'll be talked about soon (if he hasn't already). He plays with flavors and scents. He makes us discover marriages that we would never have imagined. Inspiration from the forest is obvious and... Yes, the forest can inspire our taste buds. Its menu is an ode to nature. It's light. It's delicious and amazing. Well done ! The team is very pleasant and welcoming. Thank you for this moment of pure pleasure.

A discovery close to home, at the end of a path in the forest, very intimate, we discover a very pretty area. An unusual cuisine on the theme of the forest and the vegetable garden with accompanying proteins produced from hunting. A treat for the taste buds. This is accompanied by top-notch service, which is very appreciated, even more so when we learn that the team is less than 15 days away. We don't ask for anything, no need, they take great care of us and even take the time to discuss with us our feelings about each dish. Small personal downsides: A decor that is too “kitsch” for me with these large animal statues and these stuffed animal heads but in keeping with the theme of the estate. A price a little too high, equivalent to a starred restaurant without being so but surely linked to this new cuisine. THANKS ! Anne Sophie.

Incredible moment. First experience for us with a food and wine pairing. It was exceptional! Surprising but delicious. The staff was great, attentive, and very professional. Despite their recent arrival at the establishment, they were excellent and so kind. We will come back, for the place and the exotic restaurant!

WORTH THE DETOUR ! A sophisticated, innovative and refined cuisine, new flavors, well presented dishes. It is an unmissable gastronomic address, in an exceptional setting which offers a great experience. The young chef Thomas is discreet but attentive. We feel he is passionate and happy to share his world. The staff is very welcoming .

Excellent time spent, one of the best restaurants I have been to (if not the best). Very refined, perfect food and wine pairing. I will definitely go back.
