Le A sur Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

The wellness area with jacuzzi pool and deckchairs and the other area with sauna and hammam are well appointed but for my taste too cramped for the world present at the same time. The water in the jacuzzi is way too hot. The swimming pool is small enough to just take a quick dip. And to make matters worse, it is impossible to have a shower outside. The showers are existing but not functional. They only serve as decoration It's a shame. The massage area. The girls are very caring, especially Clelie. Young woman with whom I have been in touch since the reservation. She is really very caring, gentle and an excellent masseuse who was able to offer me a suitable massage despite a very present scar. The massage well deserves 5 stars 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. The spa concept 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Excellent location, friendly stay and good overall experience - but annoying no late check out allowed but reception helped in the end to be able to store luggage and take a shower afer skiiing.

We had a great stay. This location is perfect. Walking distance to city center and all the restaurants. Has ski shop and rentals directly in the hotel. Great heated pool and jacuzzi along with saunas. Wonderful after a long day of skiing. Nice bar. Room was good. Would definitely recommend.

Really good. With magnificent weather. Swimming outside in March is great. The staff is very friendly, the facilities are very good.

The best place to stay in chamonix

One of the best massages I’ve had - fully customizable based on your preferences! Highly recommend the scrub as well. Will note the hot tub (spa) was NOT warm which was very disappointing. Otherwise all the facilities were great and loved the Deep Nature products.

Great hotel and location close to bus stop for easy access to the ski areas. Very nice and helpful staff. The room was small, so it was great to have the large common space to gather and a ski room to keep our ski equipment. The breakfast buffet was great with many choices. We had a great time and would highly recommend Le Refuge!

We arrived two days early to the hotel as we are airline employees and needed to be flexible with flight options and availability for standby travel. Upon our arrival, the front desk/reception agent, Léa, was exceptional in her manner, her service and attentiveness to our needs. She make our early accommodations a possibility, she managed our luggage when the room wasn't ready, and she happily assisted us with orientation and navigation around the city with maps, busing, and recommended ski resorts. Another shout out to the spa staff who found me a last-minute slot for a treatment on our last day. My treatment therapist (I think, Anne?) paid special attention to my requests and my only regret is that I didn't book a treatment that was longer than 45 minutes! We would love to stay here again. While the hotel seems a little "tired" with age, the staff maintains a clean space, and the location is PERFECT for bus transfers to the various ski resorts, or even for walking to the Midi lift. We loved our first visit to Chamonix and hope to be back for some hiking in the summer!
