Deserves the 2nd Michelin star. Excellent restaurant, magnificent wine list, subtle fusion of Japanese essences and the Bellifontain region. A must-see address!

What a unique experience this meeting between Japan and France is! We had a delicious and unforgettable time! We experienced travel inspiration on a cloud! Congratulations to the whole team !

Everything I would expect from Japanese influenced haute cuisine. Great service, a gastronomic adventure, a blend of flavors and presentation from Japan and France.

I have already visited a few Michelin-starred restaurants in France, Belgium and Denmark and I must say that, this is a first, I was terribly disappointed by this experience at L'Axel. I have nothing against the banality of the place itself (a small, modern and cold room, without any particular atmosphere) if it is offset by an explosion of flavors which shakes up our culinary certainties. The appetizers were certainly well inspired, promising a tasty and creative sequel, but unfortunately this was not the case. The caviar starter was remarkably bland, failing to showcase the caviar, as did the pollack and tile fish that followed. The chicken was very good, but nothing really that sets it apart from a good dish in a good restaurant in Paris. In short, nothing that justifies such a price. I really liked the chocolate soufflé, at least that much. In short, I do not recommend this restaurant at all and I do not understand how it could have received a star (if not for the price of the dishes). If you want a dining experience, it's not worth paying that much. Go to Fuumi, it's the same chef, there are no appetizers, of course, but the food is very good.

A great experience, marred slightly by less than fabulous food. Nothing bad, but only a couple of standouts, so it ends up feeling a bit pricey.

Great finds but the quantity is a little tight

A Michelin star, we went there with 4 adults, the two youngest found that the price was excessive compared to what was on the plate. The service is worth the price. I must admit that even if the food was very good the price is still a little high, or put a little more on the plate.

The cuisine is of a very high standard, sophisticated, delicate and tasty. The desserts were great! Small negative point: the impersonal and cold setting, but that is not the main thing. The welcome was nice so it was a great time. Wheelchair accessible restaurant.
