L'Archestrate sur Saint-Dizier

It was with wonder that we discovered the cuisine offered by the restaurant L'Archestrate, it is a delight in the mouth. I highly recommend this address to gourmets.

Visiting this sublime house this Saturday February 24, 2024 with a (Belgian) group of 11 guests. All convinced by the quality of the cuisine, the competence and extreme friendliness of the caring staff, and the originality of the place. In a word, run for it... :) :) :)

Good surprise regarding the very original entrance. Marbled foie gras and artichokes with roasted prawns (extra charge) unusual and interesting flavors, just a doubt about the prawns whose size was reminiscent of shrimp... Concerning the chosen dish: Salmon roulade with oysters with champagne sauce, disappointment because there was little flavor although the idea of ​​adding lentils was interesting. I rubbed a few small shards of oyster shell in the roulade, which proves that it was fresh produce. My husband enjoyed the suckling lamb with creamy polenta. Dessert was pretty basic. In summary, if I compare to other experiences in the same price range it is a small disappointment. Overall, good reception. 47 euros per person with the supplement, excluding drinks.

Despite the quality of the dishes offered in a complete and pleasant menu, wines at reasonable prices, an atmosphere weighed down by the lack of professionalism of the people providing the service, and above all a great lack of tact and respect, since when do we have to speak in mute in a restaurant on a Saturday evening??? While we were having a normal conversation! Too bad the experience could have been nice but wasted. Hoping that this comment will serve to question the team.

What can I add that hasn’t been said yet. Outstanding! Great! Beyond expectations! From starter to dessert, all is delightful and delicious. I loved it. I should not forget the service. They are just great, ready to accommodate, advise at best in order to create a special moment during a meal. I will definitely go back during my next stay.
