Good brewery. Whole roasted chalan duck for two, very tasty. Good wines and dessert. A special mention for the pâtés en croute. :)

On our recent trip to Paris we decided to try La Tour d'Argent and it did not dissapoint. We arrived 30 minutes early in order to enjoy a cocktail in their ground floor reception area. The drinks and service were perfect. Attentive and delicious. Once we decided to dine we were escorted upstairs to our table, a parfect location where we could enjoy the view as well as see into the open kitchen. Both my wife and I decided to try the 5 course chef's "surprise" tasting menu and it was wonderful. Cluade, the effucive and personable sommelier paired a perfect "pre-dinner" glass of white, a phenominal red which matched all of the food, and a delicious after dinner digestif.

Meh. Perfectly adequate, nothing bad, but you really can do so much better for less money in Paris if you head away from the center. Feels like it was designed to fleece the tourists.

An amazing experience! A classic French dining and we were celebrating so it was the perfect pick! The egg appetizer is beyond words… do not pass it up. It is their specialty and once you taste it, you will see why. The duck confit is perfection and their steak with pepper sauce was delicious and then match it with their expansive wine list.. you can’t go wrong. Now make such you leave room for dessert!! The floating island is simply amazing!!! Light and airy you can’t stop until it’s gone. And the team there is so nice and welcoming…. They made our celebration perfect!

28/03/2024: Tuesday 6:00 p.m. A bottle of red wine. Burgundy style meat + duck breast. Delicious! For the quarter it's a medium price. Very nice atmosphere! Service is quick, attentive and friendly. Special praise goes to waiter Batiste! We can only recommend.
19/03/2024: Couldn't fault Le Compas at all. Every single dish we ordered tasted great and the service and atmosphere was great too. One of the best brasseries that we visited during our Paris trip.

06/04/2024: Very good welcome and service. Brasserie cuisine with some very nice daily specials. Everything was delicious (pâté en croute/egg meurettes.. Cordon bleu etc.. And a correct addition. The only downside was the music, which was a little loud, but that's the style of the house and the customers. We'll come back to that.
04/04/2024: i had a sublime meal here and a lovely time w the friendly welcoming staff (thank you sarah!).
