La Fontaine. Maison Méditerranéenne, France sur Villars

We were three men looking for a nice place to have a mid-day meal for our wives in honor of Mother's Day. La Fontaine met and exceeded all expectations. Service and food were spectacular, and our meal turned out to be one of the highlights of our one week stay in Provence. The dessert was especially noteworthy. Kudos to the chef and staff. If we are ever back in Provence, we will come back!

By the greatest chance, we found this restaurant, bar, cellar. A very beautiful menu, prepared by Jean, a young chef full of talent. Impeccable service. Aperitif and red white wine well suited to our dishes. To discover quickly because honestly nothing to say, quite the contrary.... Favorite for me. 😉👍.

An inconspicuous little restaurant, like many in Provence. The ambience is kept simple. The food, however, was a WOW, a firework display for the senses. All energy is directed towards the essentials. Creativity is the top priority. Thanks for the evening.

Excellent lunch in this charming little restaurant, in the middle of the Villars village. Very pleasant service. Dishes with original flavors, beautiful presentation. One star less for the kitchen, I find that the dishes lack a little quantity given the prices (dishes and cheese in particular). 80€/2 for 2 dishes, 1 dessert, 1 cheese, 2 drinks. Pictures : 2 dishes: pollack, small weights, celery sauce, rice /// veal breast, polenta, carrot puree 1 cheese plate: goat’s cheese and compé, strawberry jam 1 dessert: banana cake and banana flambée, salted butter caramel
