Excellent French cuisine! Foie gras. St Jacques with porcini mushrooms, duck breast cooked in the fireplace. I overdid it a little, I admit. In the middle of the Cognac country. There were 3 of us, elegant desserts from the other guests and a range of top-level coffees. A bit of a wait for service but worth the wait. A lalande of pomerol on top. Yum long live France and deep Charente
Beautiful establishment with quality cuisine. A few sweet treats accompanying the aperitif: it's so rare these days!! Perhaps a little copious!! But, is this a fault??
