My favorite sushi restaurant. Simple, fresh, without frills or excessive prices. The desserts are also very good!

Excellent restaurant, the sushi was the best I have eaten so far

This restaurant truly lives up to its reputation as the best Japanese restaurant in Paris. The prices are not high, but the service is mediocre.

Its reputation is well deserved, by far the best address for Japanese food. The salmon is to die for, and they offer dishes you can't find anywhere else. There is certainly a lot of waiting in line but it's worth it every time. The room can get quite noisy when it is full, however, so the setting is not conducive to a meal with discussions.

Top value for money, just a criticism on the soy sauce which could be from the higher quality brand

Good assortment of sushi at a reasonable price (especially for the neighborhood), but not exceptional I came twice and the queue was dissuasive. In the end, it's better to take away, because the reception is cold (even hostile) and the room is very small. In the summer, it is better to enjoy sushi on the steps of the Palais Garnier not far away!

Excellent cuisine! The sushi is fresh and very good. The welcome could be improved, we feel a little rushed by the waiter.

Quite simply the best sushi I have tasted in Paris, go for it without hesitation

It had been several years since I was told about Foujita, presenting it as the best sushi restaurant in Paris, but not liking raw fish, I had never taken the plunge. I went there on a bit of a whim on a Sunday around 1:30 p.m., and the restaurant was full but there was only one couple in line in front of us. So we didn't have to wait too long (around twenty minutes max) before getting our place on the counter. The room is super cute, well decorated and has the atmosphere of a Japanese restaurant. I'm not a fan of seats at the counter but for once it was spacious enough that we weren't stuck with other customers. Given the high attendance, it is relatively noisy and you feel a bit rushed to eat. However, the service is super fast, whether when taking an order or when the dishes arrive. We ordered two lunch menus (a sushi menu and a grilled salmon menu). We also ordered eel and fatty tuna sushi from the menu. This is where the service is not optimal because the waiter (very nice but does not speak French very well) forced our hand a little to order 2 eel sushi when I only asked for one . He shook his head at me and forced me to take 2 as if it wasn't possible individually. The bill was therefore very steep at the end because the somewhat "noble" sushis cost 8-9€ each... The food was, however, very good. The salmon was grilled to perfection, very juicy, a little too greasy though (very oily). The accompanying salad was forgettable. The rice was not good at all; a little too wet and sticky, not seasoned at all. Which is strange because for sushi I found it very good and very suitable, but in a bowl it just wasn't pleasant. Regarding these famous sushi, they were delicious. We feel that the ingredients are of quality and the preparations are well mastered. My piece of eel was very fatty but well grilled and very tasty. The miso soup that accompanied the menu was also delicious. I was able to taste the shrimp sushi (a little bland) and the rolled omelette (delicious, slightly sweet and perfectly cooked) on my friend's plate, who really enjoyed his sushi set. Overall, a good experience. Rather expensive because we got it for €74 for two (two lunch menus + 2 eel sushis + 2 fatty tuna sushis) which is not within the reach of all budgets but we did not regret it. Just the lunch menus would have been sufficient, however; we had enough to eat. In summary ? A good address which is often stormed (rightly so). Consider coming very early or rather at the end of the service to avoid waiting too long. I will probably come back.

I came to taste the sashimi that I had heard a lot about. What an experience! It was so good! We feel that the fish is really fresh, the salmon and tuna are fatty and melt in the mouth, it’s succulent! The octopus (which I'm not usually a fan of) was very tasty, with a slight lemon taste. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the soup as a starter was nice, nothing to say about that. On the other hand, the small downside was the green tea which is clearly tasteless - but hey it didn't spoil my experience. The cooks are super friendly and the service is efficient, great atmosphere on top of that. I'll be back!! Besides, not too many people if you come at the end of service (but possibility of no longer having the full choice - there was no more edamame for us).
