Went to have a hot chocolate! It was creamy, served with a large bowl of whipped cream and a crispy apple turnover on the side, everything was excellent! And the attentive staff. The best!

Hot chocolate, good service and nice presentation. The place is in a beautiful location in front of Place de Vosges. However, in my personal opinion, I do not think it is worth paying 12€ for a hot chocolate. I did not see much extra in the taste of standard hot chocolate.

As many of the previous reviewers have said… the hot chocolate is indeed amazing! Probably the best I have had. Whipped cream also amazing. My husband and I both ordered the onion soup which was delicious. Service was great and my only regret is that we didn’t take any pastries to go.

I go to Paris twice a year and always go to Carette. The service is very warm and the food is very tasty. A café that invites you to linger. 😊

We came here for the hot chocolate- and it was truly divine. The hot chocolate and whipped cream tasted very rich but we had no problems finishing ours. The rest of their breakfast dishes were good as well. My mom uses a walker and the Staff were super helpful in accommodating her! Because of its popularity and pic worthy drinks and ambiance - we’ve already factored the high price into this experience.. so no complains there as we’d already expected it.

The food is very good, there is no doubt about it. But the service leaves a lot to be desired. They tell you they don't accept credit cards for less than 20€, and it's not written on the menu and they don't mention it until you go to pay. The waiter's attitude was very rude.

A little expensive for a hot chocolate but it was worth it because it was as good and thick as it should be, the macaroons were super good!

29/03/2024: Nice location and setting - accommodating with tables. Service was polite and good. Ordered salmon tartar and nicoise which was good - others ordered seabass - the fish seemed very greasy and had a smell and french fries were soggy. Burger was also sub par - meat was ok but hard and bread was crumbly and seemed stale. To the credit of the restaurant they switched the fish plates. Overall ok experience - place has strong potential to be much better. In response to the owner - sorry if my description was not clear - yes salmon tartare was good - i was mentioning the seabass which was kindly switched. thank you
28/03/2024: A wonderful restaurant. Everything was divinely delicious, the service was excellent. Perhaps the best place I visited in Paris.

11/05/2024: How tasty it was! Onion soup, snails and chicken legs! Delicious! The place is kept in great condition, toilets are clean! Thank you for your hospitality!
