Super tasty at a very good price!

Living in a rather isolated area I need to freeze the bread as I can't possibly go to the bakers on a daily basis. I tried other bakers but when I defrost their bread, the crust falls off and I end up with something I don't even fancy eating. However, Marie Blachère's bread is excellent both fresh and defrosted. As to their croissants, I don't think you can find better in town. They're delicious. Love this place. Also, staff are very pleasant.

Quick spot to grab and go. Wide variety of products. We don't speak french but managed to order. Sitting area is very basic. This is not a restaurant, it's a self service spot.

Marie Blachère, her core business is baking and pastry... I made the mistake of having a chicken sandwich. Only the bread had any flavor, everything else was fresh and tasteless (tomato salad, chicken slices nada). Oh yes, a hint of spice anyway (maybe curry or pepper..) It was brief. I also had some raisin bread this morning. And it was very good....the apple turnover is good too (caramel glaze, well garnished, consistent and airy flaky). The room is nice, the background music a little too loud...
