Do you like surprises 😲? So like me, Éloïse and Brigitte you will be pleasantly won over, a small restaurant room (20/25 people), a friendly setting, a very professional and smiling server, not shy of advice who explains to us here what we receive on our plates what we are going to taste is "the surprise menu" with products according to the moment, homemade and fresh products, the chef indulges himself and this is felt even in your taste buds, in this restaurant we take the time ⌛️ to discover, watch and savor the dishes offered and served! But be careful ⚠️ I advise you to anticipate and reserve your table to travel to the culinary sweetness of "my father's thatch"....bon appetit! ...

Somehow we found this place before even leaving Brussels and decided to pay a visit. We weren’t disappointed! We chose the 4 courses surprise menu and the two wine glasses pairing. Every single dish was superlative, from the shiitake soup with foie gras to the main course, a perfectly cooked beef cut on a celery cream and its sauce. Entree and dessert were also great as were the two wines, one white one red. The waiter is very professional and manages alone the tables—kudos! Ambience is really nice and cosy. Lastly, I really, really liked the idea of a surprise menu. 110% recommended if you’re around Gérardmer (vegetarian and vegan options available)
