Great, authentic and hassle-free address, great boss and great cuisine, I recommend

Yesterday noon we went to the freedmen's on the heights of the port of Bastia, an incredible little restaurant with a superb view! In terms of food, it was excellent! The boss is unparalleled in his authenticity and kindness. A great welcome and service, we had a great time. Thank you for everything and one thing is certain; see you soon !!! The little couple from Toulouse PS (for the boss): go to the Stadium!!!

We leave this restaurant found by chance during our stroll, everything is perfect, quality cuisine with a warm welcome. We will come back with pleasure. Very good value for money.

Perched at the top of the old town of Bastia, a stone's throw from the citadel, this restaurant has a small room (hence the interest in booking) and one end of the terrace which overlooks the port and the Wed. The menu is brief and reflects a desire to do well using local products. The wine list is rather well thought out but the prices are around €40 per bottle. We tasted a very fresh and well-detailed capon ceviche. But the preparation lacked imagination, a lemon juice that would have benefited from more preparation, why not a revisited “tiger’s milk”? On the other hand, the zucchini fritters were perfect, light and crispy, a real treat. As a main course, a very pleasant and perfectly seasoned cuttlefish rougaille. And a candied black pork enough to satisfy two people. An address to remember in Bastia.

Simply magnificent. A magical setting enhanced by trendy decoration, more than professional and extremely kind staff, all accompanied by a delicious meal elegantly presented. In short, it’s THE restaurant not to be missed in Bastia. I'm already looking forward to going back!
