21/02/2024: We loved our meal here! Really lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Would particularly recommend the mushroom ravioli but also loved the goats cheese salad and vegetarian lasagne. Desserts also delicious, and lots of different options.

24/05/2024: Super restaurant. Never a disappointing meal here. Super service even in a thunderstorm! Nice patio when the sun is out.

17/05/2024: Had a delicious goat cheese salad and fish. The waiters were so kind to me, as I was nearly passing out with heatstroke after climbing down the endless concrete stairs down the cliff from the bus stop above the village. They brought cloths wrung in iced water for me to wrap my head and shoulders, and sat me down with a cold drink to recover. They kept checking I was ok, and brought the scrumptious lunch over as soon as I was recovered enough to eat. Really nice guys and excellent cooks!

23/04/2024: We found ourselves fortunate to bump into this restaurant meters from our AirBnB. The food was amazing, the service from the waiters was impeccable and warm. This is a cut above any where else we ate at in the village.

15/05/2024: La Chaumière in Nice is a must! We enjoyed the best meat we have ever eaten, cooked to perfection over an open fire. Every bite was an absolute treat. A place not to be missed for lovers of good cuisine!

09/05/2024: We went to lunch at LA MÈRE GERMAINE on April 7th under the sun! It's been a long time since we last came there after a disappointment a few years ago. I won't say anything about the setting: perfect and known to everyone! On the other hand, what a welcome! What kindness and kindness! Special mentions to the Director, the waiter Tim and the valet! We ate very well yes it's a bit expensive so what! To have such a good time is priceless. See you soon thank you!!!!

05/05/2024: Never go here!!! I ordered bouillabaisse and curry rise with shrimps. Bouillabaisse was blended something with a lot of spice and up was three shrimps and peace of fish. Taste horrible I ate just one spoon. Price of two dishes 101 €. I hope that I will not feel bad this night.

Unfortunately 3rd unpleasant experience in a row: waiter is completely rude and poor customer service. We won’t support this local company place anymore! A shame for Villefranche notoriety! My mother and I have been customers of the tea room since it opened and a fan since day 1. Unfortunately, 3rd unpleasant experience in a row with an anti-commercial and unpleasant server. We are from Villefranche and will no longer support this business. A shame for the image of Villefranche

30/03/2024: Best hotel experience we've had to date, fantastic view, friendly and professional staff who do everything to ensure you have a simple and nice stay. Perhaps the flowers in the breakfast restaurant need to be changed a little more often, but this is in the petty department.

13/02/2024: Stop here in the old town of Villefranche sur mer with its colorful houses. Restaurant “La Cave Nature” welcomes you with a smile. A caring service (this is rare). Light wood furniture in a zen and cozy spirit. We will recommend good organic wines! Accompany your wine with a wide choice of gourmet and generous “homemade” dishes. Here, indulgence has its place, including desserts! We told our taxi driver about the restaurant who was taking us back to the airport for our return flight. We will definitely come back during our next visit to the South! We highly recommend!

22/10/2023: Fantastic experience! Definitely recommend. Tapas style restaurant with tons of variety that all pairs so well. Lots of vegan and veggie options available. Me and one other friend ordered several things to share but the real show stoppers was the roasted sweet potato, the mozzarella, tomatoes and strawberries, and the beet falafels. Incredibly well done. The servers were very friendly and helpful in their win recommendations. A truly lovely experience.

22/05/2024: The food is good but doesn’t compare with other Vietnamese restaurants I’ve eaten at around the world. We shared some delicious nem crevettes (fried shrimp eggrolls) which were served traditionally with lettuce, herbs and sauce. My main was soupe boeuf (beef pho); the broth wasn’t especially rich and the vegetables were chopped and already added to the bowl. There was plenty of meat, but the combination lacked a little flavor. My wife’s main was canard epices (spicy duck). She said the vegetables were excellent, the sauce very good, but the duck was somewhat flavorless as well. The servers, apparently Vietnamese, were gruff to the point of rudeness, even though the restaurant was not busy when we arrived. Friendly service would have improved the entire experience. In all, the prices are reasonable, portions good-sized and the food is pretty good, if unremarkable. I recommend the food but be prepared for surly servers.
