Septime sur Paris

I will start by saying that I really don't care for restaurants that have a set menu that you can neither see in advance or alter based on your personal preferences. Obviously we knew this going in, but went with a group so we were stuck. Also, my wife has celiac disease. They assured us that this was no problem and, to their credit, she did not get sick from cross contamination. However, for such a high end restaurant I found it pretty disappointing that they could not offer her any gluten free bread (whereas they did provide bread for the rest of us). They knew in advance that we had someone in our party with celiac disease but couldn't take the time to get some GF bread for her (much less keep GF bread available at all times)? At those prices? Cmon!

Magnificent restaurant that doesn't take itself seriously! Only young people who love what they do and who tell it very well without the sacrosanct “good tasting”! Excellent and amazing cuisine! To favor the food and wine pairing which will reveal treasures of wine!

WHAT AN EXCELLENT WELL BALANCED DINNER We dined here as a four pax cor dinner on Wednesday 01 May. Every single dish was done extremely well, flavours are well balanced and interesting. We opted to go for the drinks pairing, and wine whisperer Nico did an excellent job of explaining the wine and his connection to them. They paired perfectly with the dishes. This is not your classic Michelin restaurant, it seems like a lot of the people leaving negative reviews here lean towards the “traditional” French fine dining experience, and don’t understand or appreciate what Septime offers. Well worth the visit, thankyou for your hospitality. I’m still dreaming of the morels with lardo.

It may just be me but I cannot understand the hype, why people try desperately to get a booking. The food was not, in my opinion, one I would seek out, much less return to.

Lives up to the hype. The food and wine were wonderful. The service was pleasant but a bit standoffish.

An “insider tip” that of course is no longer one: one of the best restaurants we visited in Paris! I would try ANYTHING again at any time to get a table despite the reservation system (each “open” in 3-week segments from the current date! ALWAYS fully booked!)! It's worth giving EVERYTHING for this creative, top-class cuisine in a very pleasantly purist styled restaurant! From the very committed (also perfectly English-speaking) service and competent, unobtrusive and accurate wine advice to a great and creative “Carte Blanche menu” (8 courses), SEPTIME completely convinced us in every respect. We'll be happy to try and get a table again! If you want to taste well-deserved star cuisine in Paris at a reasonable price, you can't go wrong here! Thank you for a wonderful evening! What moment!!! We came to celebrate my birthday as a couple: everything was perfect! Well done! Simple, very well sourced products cooked with impeccable sauces, emulsions or sabayons. I loved. Thanks to the whole team!

Good restaurant. A few very nice creative dishes (the white asparagus for example) but a bit hard to understand the hype and competition for tables. Also very underwhelmed by the recommendations on wine

We had the winter lunch menu and had a great experience. No complaints about any dishes served (except maybe the sweetbreads which we weren't a fan of but it was prepared well). The dishes themselves were interesting, nicely plated and generously portioned for a lunch seating. Despite it being a winter menu, the theme was overall very light and refreshing. Our favourite course had to be the dessert which was an amazing pear sorbet with almond granité The service was attentive though I wish they spent a bit more time explaining the dishes. Great drink selection. I especially enjoyed their house water infusion as a non-alcoholic option
