Restaurant Chaussard sur Ouroux-Sur-Saone

We were desperate because we couldn't find a restaurant on the road and there, by pure chance, we came across this restaurant by the water whose specialty is frog legs. We were received like kings despite a full establishment. The cuisine is homemade and delicious. Thank you again for accepting us.

Frogs at the top as well as the service 👍

Very good cuisine and magnificent setting. But the waitress is quickly overwhelmed so you don't have to be in a hurry but she remains very friendly. Hats off to the cook who is on all fronts with the right word and little touches. For sure we will come back to taste what we couldn't have.

While passing through, the place caught our eye: charming little hut along the water with a quiet terrace with a peaceful view. The brand invites us to taste the frog legs but the menu reserves surprises in the starter options, main courses and desserts. We opted for a crayfish flan and a Bavarian with tomatoes, mozzarella and vegetables. The latter was surprisingly original, fresh and well balanced in flavor. The frog legs with garlic cream reminded me of the recipe from my childhood! A true delight. Good surprises followed us until dessert with a soufflé and marc de Bourgogne. The crystallized rose petals enhanced the latter. The service was relaxed, accompanied by a smile from the waitress and that of the chef. A discovery that we will hasten to come back to visit as soon as the wind takes us to the region again! Thank you for your warm welcome and our interesting exchanges. Sophie and David

New owner, a facelift has been given to the restaurant while keeping the soul of yesteryear. Very friendly waitress, top-notch frogs as we like them in a magnificent setting by the water.
