A place right next to the castle, with easy access and a good walk through the town. It offers a la carte and two menus, one economical and the other more expensive but they are about €25. Fast and very friendly service.
We tried the Cassoulet which is typical from there, and very delicious with a strong (consistent) flavor.

Good food, sufficient portions, pleasant setting but rather long service.
We arrived at the end of the rush and it took us almost 2 hours to get all our orders.

A little disappointed with the quality of the cassoulet, too bland and tasteless. Restaurant room too dark, you can barely see what you are eating. As soon as a table has to be cleared, the waitress sprays it all over with disinfectant which gives off a horrible chemical smell when you eat 5 cm away... really not pleasant. Doesn't deserve all the "little smart" buttons on the door.

€19 menu with starter, main and dessert (the drink is not included in the price).
For starters we ordered salad with fresh goat cheese and baked camembert, for mains two cassoulets and for dessert two crème brûlée. In short, the starters are more than correct, the cassoulets are not the best I have ever eaten, but they are one of the best, and the desserts are very good. Conclusion, for that price you will not find anything better in La Cité de Carcassonne, totally recommended.
Yes, we look for a but it would be that the service communicates loudly, and depending on where you are it can be a little annoying, but it is counteracted by the fact that they are very friendly.
I will return for sure because it is worth it.

Accueil et service sans faute (souriant et rapide) ce jour.
Cadre sans originalité mais propre et agréable.
Nous avons choisi le menu entrée plat dessert à 19€. Bon rapport qualité prix pour une salade de chèvre frais, un petit cassoulet et une crème brûlée,
Salade bien fraîche et bien assaisonnée,
Cassoulet un peu trop gras pour nous, petite cuisse de canard un peu sèche et saucisse correcte. Bon mais sans plus.
Crème brûlée bonne mais froide (pas de coup de chalumeau sur le sucre).
Attention la salle se remplit vite!
