I stop there as soon as I can when I get back from my week. The service is top notch. You have to be patient. Annie is often alone galloping between the kitchen and the living room. Self-serve buffet. Diverse dish. '' peasant-style roast beef. 😘. Benjamin is a very nice man but... Talkative🤣d an open mind. I advise all truckers then open on Friday evening. One of the only restaurants on the Périgueux-Limoge road for truckers although as he says, we are not that primary clientele...

Stop here for lunch. Selected menus at 28.5 euros. Very decent all-you-can-eat buffet waiting for the main course, sweetbreads for Madame and calf's head with gribiche sauce for me. Well stocked and well cooked plates. Homemade cheese and desserts. Relatively fast services due to a busy room.

Back from a walk in the surrounding area we looked on the internet for a little restaurant in Chalus. “L’escale gourmande” was waiting for our call for a reservation within the next quarter of an hour.😁😁 The owner, an adorable character, immediately welcomed us warmly and made our mouths water with his explanations of all his homemade dishes. We tasted almost all the hors d’oeuvres and charcuterie it was so good….😋 to lick our lips..😋😋😋 and as much as you can eat 😉 The dishes we chose, beef tongue and homemade sausage, were excellent, we enjoyed ourselves. All accompanied by a good glass of Pécharmant wine, pure happiness😊 The little homemade desserts also delighted our taste buds. The only downside in all this is that we ate too well and we will have to go back to taste other dishes. Super Stopover Very good meal there are several choices of homemade dishes we took homemade sausage and beef tongue super good the starters are unlimited and homemade like the desserts. The welcome from the boss is the staff and super friendly, we will definitely return
