Le Denieu - La Ferme des Alpes sur Sciez

Ce fut toute une expérience dans ce magnifique restaurant. On se croirait, en y entrant, dans un musée ou une brocante car il y a tant d’antiquités partout, plafond, murs, partout partout. Et que dire de la trèes grande qualité de la nourriture et de l’excellent service.

Nous avons déjeuné dans ce restaurant atypique magnifique et plein de choses anciennes qui m’a fait revivre certaines choses de de mon enfance avec mes grands-parents surtout Le repas savoyard délicieux le dessert à tomber Le patron et la serveuse très sympathique et accueillant Restez comme vous êtes on y reviendra

Typical restaurant of the region, the fondue was incredibly good as well as the potatoes! The decor is also top notch. Not to mention the extremely nice waiters and boss. Thank you for this meal! We highly recommend and can't wait to come back and taste the rest of the menu. Tess and Corentin

We would like to say a big thank you to Mr Clerc for the excellent time we had on the occasion of my husband's 60th birthday. We already knew the establishment and particularly appreciated the warm and authentic setting. Everyone was attentive and we were really satisfied with the service, the sympathy and the humor of the servers. Everyone enjoyed the dishes chosen and everyone was served at the same time even though there were seven of us. It will be with great pleasure that we return again. Maria and Jean-Pierre

After driving past this restaurant and thinking how nice it looked with all the fairy lights many times this week, I finally had the chance to actually go. We were greeted with warmth at the door and seated quickly in a very nice table by the window. The ambience of the restaurant is very nice, enhanced by the thoughtful and authentic alpine themed decoration. We both ordered the château briand medium rare. I wanted the potato dauphinoise but it did run out, and so only chips were available. The food came quickly, and the steak was cooked perfectly, and absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, the chips were not much to write home about slightly undercooked and greasy, making me even more gutted the note was run out because I’m sure that would’ve been a lot nicer. Shame there was no salad with my steak and when you’re paying €32 for a bit of meat, it would be nice not to have to pay another €3.50 for your pepper sauce too. It was nice to have tap-water brought to the table without having to ask, because most places in the alps seem to make it very tricky to get something as simple as tap-water, preferring to charge you through the nose for their bottled water. Overall, it was great service in a lovely setting for a slightly mixed plate, but they got the steak right, but I really enjoyed it. However, it did feel like I was paying mountain prices when not in the mountain, for food that wasn’t as good. I would go there again, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to do so.
