Group meals. Excellent welcome...the restaurant was closed but for us, the owners had agreed to prepare a meal for us! (we had reserved in advance)...Beautiful presentation...copious dishes... We chose foie gras, duck breast and whipped strawberries for dessert.... It was the last evening of a 4 day tourist trip. I have just recommended the restaurant to friends who will be spending a few days in the area next month.

We are not in the habit of giving bad grades but this is really exaggerated. The food is really very, very low-end for an exorbitant price, it's been a long time since we've come across such a tourist trap. The setting, on the other hand, is magnificent and the service is very friendly... but €20 for a slice of foie gras is not good and the duck breast served with industrial sweet and sour sauce is no.

Very good discovery of this restaurant with a magnificent view of the Castelnaud castle. The dishes are generous and homemade, the Périgord salad and the walnut cake are delicious.

Stop unexpectedly because we were hungry at the moment before starting the visit to the castle. Basque specialty, it was what struck us the most of the day. If you have the chance stop by ;)

Very warm welcome and very understanding towards my young, fearful puppy. We got a really good spot for him in the corner. The menu was very good, plentiful. Little wait between dishes We recommend

20/05/2024: The environment was very friendly, we came to visit the Château de Castelnaud and this little restaurant immediately charmed us! Unfortunately it rained but the menu was at an affordable price and the food was delicious: simple and effective! If you want to eat properly during a day of sightseeing, you will not be disappointed by this welcoming place!
11/05/2024: Just after my visit to Castelnau Castle, I was lucky enough to come across this restaurant. This restaurant offered me a magnificent panoramic view. The cuisine is succulent and the service very pleasant. The server was great. I highly recommend the duck parmentier as well as the peach wine.
