A pleasant restaurant hidden in a small square with a typical setting, generous and tasty homemade cuisine and a reasonable price. Address to absolutely try. A great discovery for us. We tested the daily menu and the a la carte plate. Yum yum

Lovely staff and the quiet square makes it perfect to let the little ones roam around. Food was top class and they easily accommodated special requests. It felt like an authentic place with a great atmosphere.

A friendly welcome awaits us in this pleasantly located restaurant. Succulent dishes await us, for example: toast...... Being able to enjoy your coffee in the shade of the trees, taking the time to relax. Great place..... I recommend .

Great little restaurant a little away from the tourist traps and yet in the middle of the old town. A little tight inside. Otherwise located in a quiet little square. The food was good, although it could have used a little more spice. The sauces for the rabbit and guinea fowl were a bit flat. The perfectly cooked vegetables could have used a flake of butter. The house wine was very good, as was the attentive service. All in all we were very satisfied. Prices are, like everywhere in tourist hotspots, relatively high.

Le 26

12/05/2024: Less than a month ago, and during our journey through Southern France, we had the opportunity to enjoy Le 26. In fact we ate dinner twice in the same week. What attracted us to this restaurant was the Lamb Shank in the menu. An added bonus was that they open at 6:30pm for dinner, a bit earlier than most places. Le 26 is located in a small square around some narrow streets behind the TI office in Avignon. It could be somewhat difficult to locate. It has a small outside seating area, but nobody sat there. On the week of our visit a strong wind seemed to be blowing at all times. The Lamb was delicious, but it was not just that, it was also the Watercress Cream, and the Avocado Toast and Samosa appetizers. The "Esprit" Cotes du Rhones red wine, and the "Pensee Sauvage" rose, were great. BTW, Le 26 was one of the few restaurants in which we ordered a 1/2 liter wine bottle without breaking the bank. Our experiences above were not what we call "cheap", the bills came to be around 45-50 euros/person, but we feel it was all worth it. We have nothing but good comments for the service and personal attention received.

03/04/2024: Everything in this restaurant was amazing; the food was simply exquisite, and even the chef was going out to bring your plate; it is definitely an experience you can not pass if you visit Avignon 😋
