My wife's foie gras and scallops and my beef bourguignon were exceptional. Having dinners on each side of us could have been uncomfortable but in the end it was like sharing a table in the Grand Dining room on Marina with folks you never met before. The Sancerre wine was very good. I still can't get used to dinner taking 2 hours. It isn't inexpensive with entrees €32, starters €8, and deserts €8. But the food was great.

Small, intimate restaurant with excellent dishes, original and contemporary, that are not cheap, but deliver the price in flavor. I strongly recommend.

Edit: ended up having food poisoning for two nights from eating the beef here. Will never come back to this place again The old lady waitress was quite bad and rude, she should be fired and replaced and the restaurant would improve. The food was decent, we had the beef bourguignon and scallops.

Currently the best bistro-style restaurant in Paris. Don't miss it, memorable food, welcoming atmosphere and kind service. I can't ask for anything more, at a fair price we ate a three-course menu.

I went there because the hotel manager recommended it, and I was surprised that the course menu, which had a family restaurant feel and was reasonably priced, was actually much better than I expected. A local restaurant! It was the most delicious meal I had during my trip to Paris. I really recommend it

Friendly restaurant. The sea bream ceviche is very original, the crème brulée more than adequate. Disappointment with the perch poultry supreme. Sauce way too salty (and yet I'm the type to add salt everywhere) and a definite lack of cooking. Too bad, the taste was there.

I am a returning customer to L’Ardoise. I visited 21 years ago when they first opened. Jay Pierre’s food was delicious once again! The restaurant is quaint and wonderful! Thank you!

04/04/2024: Indeed, the promise is kept: better than the best flan in Paris. A crust that holds together, a perfectly measured vanilla. I wanted to take a photo but I couldn't stop eating, I just have to come and find out. AND in addition to good food, the service is friendly! See you soon for new flan chronicles 🍮
25/03/2024: Very nice discovery of the day. A multitude of choices whether savory or sweet. You have nice portions for a very reasonable price. Best place to stop for lunch when you don't have much time and eat a meal worthy of the name. I will come back to taste everything.

23/08/2023: Very good restaurant, the dishes are excellent and plentiful. Very welcoming team.
18/08/2023: Sure value, never disappointed! The bistropolitain offers different daily specials every lunchtime, which allows you to vary your pleasures without ever being disappointed. In addition, special mention for the service which is impeccable, the 2 people serving are always smiling and very friendly!
