The daily menu with daily changing main courses is very appealing. We chose 6 oysters each as a starter and were not disappointed.
The tuna as the main course was (exactly as advertised) still red inside and therefore cooked perfectly. The lentils as a side dish were still missing onions or leeks as vegetables.
The pork medallions in sesame seeds were served as a single larger piece. Unfortunately the meat was a bit dry.
The mousse au chocolat for dessert was good and rich.

I can highly recommend this restaurant. First of all, it is very dog-friendly. Woof. The service is impeccable and the prices are, contrary to expectations, really good. I made very nice acquaintances over a few glasses of wine at lunchtime. The oysters were impeccable. It was really fun. Contrary to what I expected, it is not a commercial restaurant that only benefits from being mentioned in a well-known book. Full recommendation! It was really fun!

Great discovery, warm and professional welcome, thanks to Jérôme for the service and his advice, lobster tartare and foie gras very well prepared, the St Pierre and entrecôte very well cooked, the dessert was sublime, see you soon to try the seafood.

Commissioner Dupin has not completely overcome his bourgeois origins...
We were at L'Amiral for dinner: after we spurned the wine list, outed ourselves as beer/cider drinkers and only ordered a main course, we were discreetly ignored by the service the whole evening.
The food was quite good (except for the handful of green onions on the scallops!) but we didn't feel welcome.
It seems like the quality of service depends heavily on the amount consumed. A pity!
